      Account Action: 72 Hour Suspension
Reason for Action: Terms of Use Violation -- Exploitative Activity: Use of Third Party Automation Software

This suspension happened because one or more characters on this account were identified using an unauthorized cheat program, also known as a ""hack."". These programs provide character benefits normally not achievable in the World of Warcraft. Such benefits include, but are not limited to, increased speed, teleportation, or running through walls/boundaries. Use of these unauthorized programs harm the game environment because they offer an unfair advantage over other players and superscede the intended limits of the game.

Even if this behavior is the result of a third party accessing the account instead of the registered user (for example, a friend, family member, or leveling service) then the account can still be held responsible for the penalty because of the impact it had on the game environment.

We've found the above behavior is many times directly related to groups responsible for compromising World of Warcraft accounts; we take these issues very seriously. To better understand our position against exploitative activity and the risks involved, please review this article: http://www.worldofwarcraft.com/info/basics/antigold.html

The exploitative activity that took place on this account violates the World of Warcraft Terms of Use. We ask you take a moment to review these terms at http://www.worldofwarcraft.com/legal/termsofuse.html. Note that additional Terms of Use violations may result in more severe actions against this account, up to and including permanent closure.

For any disputes of this action or further information on Exploitive Activity, please visit the Exploitative Activity FAQ and contact page here: http://us.blizzard.com/support/article/exploitfaq

I just had the exact same thing happen to me. I just checked on my Pally only to find I was logged off. Tried logging back in and it said incorrect password so I checked my email and there mwas a password reset email which I did and then tried logging in again and got the suspension notice and this same email as above right after. Probably my fault because I was using mixed leveling in AV and also botted alot this past weekend.

Has everyone had a password change?

It seems those receiving the "Ban/Suspension" are indicating their account has experienced a password change just prior to their notice from Blizz. Just out of curiosity, is anyone using an Authenticator Key with their account? I wouldn't be surprised if there is some ID theft either via one of the plugins or [not saying it's the reason - but I don't know the 'developers' of HB/GB personally so i can't vouch for their ethics] possibly information HB/GB isn't using as it should.
I know Blizz is trying to crack down heavily on 'injection' [we've all seen the guys in SW & IF - for those Alli's out there] that do the really neat advertising with floating toon-hearts and such adverting for Gold Resellers. If someone is compromising your account then attempting to use it in a way that utilizes 'injection' - it could be cause.
Just my thoughts... not intimately familiar with Blizz or HB/GB so I may be needing some TP. It would be very interesting to know if this is happening with accounts using an Authenticator.

Im pretty sure all 72 hr suspensions will change your password and suspend the account. The idea is that they likely believe the account has been compromised or just botting so they hand out a 72 hour suspension and await for the owner or whomever is in possession of the account to contact them to get it back. Its highly unlikely there are any mischievous cc creators since it would of been noticed by at least someone by now.

In Before "ZOMG BANWAVE" /sigh already some one thinks there is a pattern to the madness...yes there is it is called blizz actually uses a system, they take in all the complaints they monitor the flagged accounts, when they see enough evidence to warrant suspensions they do a mass emailing, then the go back and review their evidence if they don't see enough they let it go at the 72 hour, but if they feel they have enough to warrant an account closure you receive another e-mail stating your account has been closed, oh and they can skip from step one to step three if you bug them enough about it...trust me I had two accounts in my time suspended for botting the first one I never botted on and I called and tried to argue my case and it got banned the second account years later I botted on HEAVILY was suspended I rode it out and 3 days later I didn't hear anything from blizz and tried logging in and sure enough I had my account back.
