      I attached a log. It looks like my honorbuddy is loading certain plugins twice, including BC2. This is probably why I get double notifications. I have no idea how to fix this. Anyone help?

      Yeah i got that error too. The solution i found is (stupid) easy: new folder for hb and fresh install. I think you can copy the settings dir so all your settings are copied.

      Been having the issue with BuddyCon2 double loading at startup. After trying pretty much all basic HB troubleshooting to determine if its me or everyone I then started advanced troubleshooting. While testing "[bC2]: Version 2.0.6" I found this addon when installed within a fresh HB dir, API key inserted, and selected in the HBPlugins menu, shows promise and works as expected. The problem begins after HB has been restarted for the first time by either stopping the bot then exiting or exiting while bot is running. Either way after dozens of different tests I was unable to get the plugin to operate as intended.

      Operating the plugin in this state however did show some functionality for a small time but after a few reloads HB starts becoming extremely unstable while using different botbases and questing profiles. Finally after X many HB restarts over different characters the big problems start to appear rendering HB completely broken upon startup with stop errors.

      I made an interesting observation by doing the following; remove buddycon2 from Plugins dir > Start and Close HB > replace buddycon2 to Plugins dir > Load HB
      This approach loads buddycon2 into a working state similar to that of its first time installed but then falls into the same problematic loop after HB exit/restart. This has made it clear that HB is retaining unwanted cached data from its previous session which i would have presumed its location be the CompiliedAssemblies folder but even with its deletion it appears to still retains some phantom data?

      here are some highlights from a random log with both [bC2]: Version 2.0.6 initalized and ItemForAura duplicating in upon HB open within the same session. You can also see BC2 logs to screen "initialized" before the Lua.Events have been attached then immediately after. This appears to be related to the AssemblyLoader refreshing the plugins. It ultimately appears as though the plugin can not shut down correctly leaving behind complications and plaguing the next fresh HB loading session.

      I don't know much about treesharp #C but maybe the plugin is not entirely disengaging via dispose? if I might suggest (only through mere observation of other similar plugins), using the Dispose handle before Initialize or a soft close upon bot start?

      I have been working on this for days in depth so if the OP is interested in more test observations I have them all documented using full debugging and diagnostic logging enabled. Notably by testing BuddyCon2 disposition through Hb logs.


      BuddyCon1 Does however work fine but It is deathly slow updating to the website and misses so much CHAT_MSG data even though HB does record the data as received. The Battlenet chat feature does not work but I have found they are just incomplete with respect to the code from BuddyCon2. Ill just post the it below for you.

      I also would personally like to see my sent message data from the client logged too, so may I suggest adding the following code to support both Battlenet and normal Whisper events (the code works but a little ugly) ?
      edit: I forgot to add the chat event handler for "Instance chat", but I do believe this is strictly LUA accessed only like battlenet chat handlers. I believe it is simply CHAT_MSG_INSTANCE and CHAT_MSG_INSTANCE_INFORM

      fixed my problem. I changed my POST file size in the php.ini for my hosting. working perfectly now :D

      Hey,
      thanks for your observations. I thought that one of my HB installations would be the only one with this bug.
      I will check that later if i can fix that.
      Im currently a little down because my girlfriend left me. I hope i can get the bad energy into something productive soon.

      I don't have a hosting site and i don't want to.. but can i use the plugin with no website? i get this message when i register my API key in the plugin from the website and my phone:

      BC2 worked yesterday. I will check it when my HB is running again (from germany so i need some things for that ;) )

      EDIT: Yay working again. Just checked the messaging (send & receive) is working with BC2.

      I looked at a comparison to see the changes you made to solve the problem and i'm extremely happy with the outcome. The added "IF" function was brilliant and I'm happy to have pointed you in the right direction; lol I was afraid you would just view my post as meaningless jargin.

      Thanks alot for doing what i would not have been able and especially during a tough time for yourself, sometimes a little works helps get our minds of those stressful things.

      P.S. what is the general API key for? was it to create a global settings page for all wow toons using BC2 to reference the API key so it didn't have to be set per individual toon?

      Yeah it helped. I worked on the same error a few months ago, because it happend to me to, but nobody complaint so i thought its just a error in this HB installation. And the IF part was in there sometime ago too ... but i forgot why i deleted it -.-

      Yeah the Global Setting will be used as default
