I am curious on state of this bot. People seem to be getting almost "insta-banned" after running this bot for a short while on a new account. There also seems to be a fair share of stability and functioning issues. No need to lecture me on this bot being new and all; trust me, I am well aware of this and I'm wishing the absolute best to Buddy team. I'm merely curious whether it'd be wise to purchase this product just yet, considering its flaws and lack of "proper/superior" setups (scripts). Although it is F2P I see no point pitching in just yet if it doesn't operate functionally. Sure, I could snatch the bot now make few freebie accounts but the thought of getting them insta-banned versus profit is not worth it, imo. I've been on hiatus on all bots for better half of the year, I used to run three bots for D3 until massive ban waves begun, profits started to shrink (at least for me) and now they're about to remove AH or RMAH - or both (cba to check on it now). tl;dr In its current state, is this bot worth my money just yet if my long term goal is to capitalize with the use of this product?
I have only seen 1-2 people saying they have been getting banned really really quickly. Otherwise i and my friends who use it have no had any problems. Level 2 chars to 70+ using the bot and they farm docs all day for currency. Transfer currency to my main and if they and my ip gets banned i will just reset my modem and start some new bots and cackle with all my loot on my main acct. Yes the bot is worth your money in about 2 weeks (including leveling time) i have gotten prob 10-20 exalts between the two bots @ 2 bucks and ex that roughly 20-40 bucks.
I think the bot runs very well for how new it is and the lack of combat routines. Only problem ive had is the no currency dropping issue.
I've heard this on these forums and it's the main reason why am I concerned. What's the exact deal with this? Hopefully it'll be solved in near future. Is there any workaround for it yet?
It is a bug with the actual PoE game and not due to botting. There are multiple people who've posted about it on the PoE forums and had there issues resolved once talking to support. This bug also will sometimes fix itself during a realm restart or patch update.
Thanks for clearing that up to me. One final question: are they using IP and / or hardware bans if and when detected for botting? I like PoE and I have few ~40s on Nemesis and playing in a group of four friends, giving the current desync issues I'd hate to use V-P-N as they have a considerable delay - even bought ones. AFAIK they are handing out IP bans for botting, so I could use a reliable V-P-N provider for us enviable botters, cheers! EDIT: Really? Virtual Private Network is censored?
Yes it is censored, rules of the forums for legal reasons. IP Bans are handed out and people claim it is for botting, but I bot 16+ hours a day and still have not received one. I also RMT few times a week and even use CE for maphack capabilities and still no ban. So can't say for certain what actually causes them besides speculation of going from little play time to a lot, or other such things.
Cheers for replies, fellas. Ended up buying a single instance of bot, see how it pans out. Would seem like it's best to level up your character up until The Ledge and / or Fellshrine Ruins since its lacking advanced AI as of this moment to do quests, progress through areas etc. It seems to be too unstable and unpredictable as well inefficient for Nemesis currently. Looking forward to see our own baby grow.
