Hi! I wonder what kind of CPU would I need if I wanted to use 5 bots at the same time? My current one is a bit outdated... I also wonder, if i change my moderboard will it change my computer name/id? So blizzard dont recognise my computer.
you can easily bot 5 accounts with an i3 processor on the cheapest motherboard, you don't even have to get a dedicated video card. I'm currently running 5 bots on a Haswell i5 without dedicated GPU, i could easily manage to get 12-15 going with this very same setup. An Ivy Bridge GPU is not as good, tho.
You dont really need anything fancy in terms of CPU / GPU because you would set all the clients to low graphics and small windows anyway. As mentioned previously an i3 would be fine - you could also go for an AMD FX-4300 quad core for extra threads but its your call. Either would work. It would be more down to the RAM - get 8gb minimum as it will make things go smother
Currently I have 2 bots, on ultra graphics XD (I dont like bad graphics) and have a shitty processor and 8g ram
What is the story behind the Ivy Bridge being not so good? I have one but when running 6 bots errors of overload popup. Also when running that much bots it feels like corruption sets in more quickly.
The GPU embedded into the Ivy Bridge processors is quite bad. In the Haswell's it's more acceptable. The things you mention are definitely not due to the Ivy Bridge/Haswell differences.
