After 3/4 months of testing ExileBuddy I decided to take a look once again to see how it was going since people still say it doesn't perform well. And for my surprise I see that the price almost doubled while the issues remain the same. I understand PoE is a hard game to develop a bot, I understand GGG is not stupid like Blizzard but that has nothing to do with selling an unfinished bot that can't do what it is advertised on its selling page for more than 30 minutes. You're still living under the HonorBuddy name for all the bots you release(I've only tested HB, DemonBuddy, Ryftomate and ExileBuddy) and the community helped a lot to bring the bot to the current state. Ryftomate was a failure, but you had the though yet very good long-term decision to refund your costumers. DemonBuddy had all its pathing issues, along with the stop and go for a long time, thank god once again to the community who developed plugins who would overrite DemonBuddy behavior and made it run 2 times faster and way smoother, On PoE you barely have any community support, when compared to the previous bots I mentioned, and coincidence or not, after 4 months of selling this product it still can't run smooth, it still can't do boss runs, it still can't transition to certain areas, some skills aren't usable, the logic behind pathing and clearing areas is so unnefective that someone who starts playing the game today can actually kill stuff faster than this bot, yet the price went up by 66%.
I have no cleu about the price changes But I understand that it's weird to see that it takes so long so create a nice AFK and smooth release with kite and all those things working, but keep in mind that it's not always that easy to create a botbase from scratch and I'm not sure, but I think there are more devs working on all other bots from bosslands ten on EB. I'm a bosslands production lover and I'm sure it will be a great bot even if it will take a few months
Pretty sure Bossland talked about this in the December newsletter. I believe it was something along the lines of new bots start out at the introductory price then after a few months they go to normal prices. Don't quote me on that though, but this isn't really a forum issue, since it's not up to us or anything like that. Support wise, if you have any issues, just use the support forum. We'll get back to you. if you check the past few weeks or so at least of support threads, pretty much all have been addressed. The few things we haven't, we don't have enough information to. The issues the bot still has is because the core issue in the game still exist; otherwise, we'd have gotten it worked out by now. There are certain things happening that I believe require us going a different direction with the bot, but we still have to provide our generic grind bot that mostly works. It's not perfect, but it does work. We've not had any crashes lately and features the old code had are being reworked in. The ban/flagging issue seems resolved now, so we can get back to improving the bot. See this thread for more info. If anyone would like to see us do something different with the bot, just start a discussion thread and let us know what you think. As long as it's constructive and you communicate to us why you think certain features or things should be higher priority or not than others, we'll listen. Obviously certain things we'd like to get back in sooner than later, but if it were that easy, we'd had done it a long time ago. So, there's actually technical reasons why the bot has limited support for things and isn't because we can do something but just want to make our users frustrated with lack of features. Exilebuddy will be a great bot, but a great bot for the type of game Path of Exile is, is not something that will happen in a few months; it's a long term endeavour. I think a lot of people don't really understand just what type of game PoE is when it comes to botting. They all think D3 and look at DemonBuddy to compare, but the games are so far apart, that you can't even begin comparing them. A lot of people don't give enough credit to GGG for the great game they have made. There's a lot more to it than people realize, and it has proved to be really challenging to do the things we want in it. While I'm not going to go through and explain everything, just know that we're always working towards making a better bot, fixing any issues it has, and trying our best to make our customers happy. Rhys said something yesterday on the official forums that pretty much sums up how development goes: Let's just say, we've been having to cross oceans for a while now, but we're dedicated and committed to making the best possible bot, so as long as we have a community that wants that, we'll be here.
Path of Exile looks much more complex than Diablo 3 from a programming, game experience and botting perspective. I can't begin to fathom on the endless hours and amount of work the team has put into Exile Buddy, I appreciate all the hard work. I'm very interested in all the challenges that the team has had to go through and possibly hear explanations. I'm a very curious fella
Simple answer, early access supporters in about everything this day get premium discounts for investing in something that has a possibility of folding. Due to the support they have got, and work that has been invested, to continue work it cost money, money of which they had to ask to continue to improve upon it. As I do not own it and plan to purchase it, I have followed it closely and I have noticed alot of improvement since the first option to buy it. ( Again thats just from reading peoples posts) All in all time cost money.
lucky me for buying the right amount of bots instantly even if they don't meet the expectations right away, if i remember correctly it was the same thing with d3 although the "urn destroyer" as i called it was quite nice untill it was fixed :x i got 6 licences right away actually for party botting until the one guy stopped developing it :< it was quite nice though and no bans with it either i don't know the current state of the bot atm but i hope it will be afkable, cause the experience i had was that every char i bottet was banned after 2-5h but when it's ready it will be quite nice i think, at least it's the case with the other bots (only bottet hb and db can't say anything about the others)
It's just sad that this is your answer, 2 years ago you weren't so cocky and greedy about such subject but hey money changes people.
well,we are talking about a company here...its not a charity or something if you are offering to work as one of hour devs for more than 14 hours per day 7days/week for free, then we can review the pricing of Exilebuddy let me know plz *plus it was something announced since day one,it wasnt a surprise for those who are reading the forums often
25 euro is normal for bosslands productions and don't be so rude to some buddy who helps more then you could count
I don't see how it's cocky. It's a stupid question. Do you walk into Starbucks and say "your drinks are too expensive"? No...either you pay for them at the price they're asking or you take your business elsewhere. That's how free markets work. Their sales numbers determine their price in the end. If nobody was buying it, they would drop the price.
Thankfully I saw great potential in this bot when it came out and I bought it right away. But I still would buy it right now if I had to at full price. Unfortunately when it first came out most people (including me) couldn't play an hour before having a flagged account. So I had to stop using it, and yes I went to a different bot for a while but I always checked the forums for status updates to see if it was getting fixed. It took awhile and I'm very pleased in the bot to this day. Running like a charm for me 2+ days now this bot is well worth the money even if you don't RMT.
