Aproximatly how safe is it to just bot to level up a character?

Is it worth it? I only have one wow account, haven't played much ( about 2 months ) have a main char at 90

What would you guys estimate the odds to get banned if you bot overnight (when sleeping) using pure grinding or a questing profile? I read that gatherbuddy is high risk of ban, but what about just lvling?

 

Overnight when sleeping is the worse thing you could do, You should never be afk from your pc while the bot is running I say.

I have botted 6 lvl 90's and all have had issues with the bot while it was doing its thing I had to manually fix it up. If I was AFK it would of did the same thing for hours = more of a chance of a ban since you are running into a wall for 3 hours or so.

 

I just levelled a monk 1-90 in a couple of days full afk questing 24/7 now hes 90 ill leave him off for a week or so then farm on him done it so many times never fails

 

Yeah I agree. I've botted 4 90's and i'd say never bot over night while sleeping. Best to just babysit it.

 

Botting varies between people because some suffer from paranoia more than others. For example, razer is more paranoid than cyberburst69. Off the record, if you're running into a wall for three hours, then you have some major problems. If you want to quest use Kick's profiles.

 

If you want to trust someone with 36 posts, and says he can afk anything then go ahead.

His just lucky that no one reported him or maybe they have and he just dont know untill bliz looks at all his reports while his been sleeping . If you dont want your account banned dont afk plain and simple.

 

Ive used the same account for over 9 years botted on it for 4 years but never afk and I have never had a ban not even a temp ban. On the other hand other accounts I went all out on got a few temp bans. Its all about reading patterns

 

Well, I have botted i would say 20-25 characters from 1 to at least 85 and of those 20-25, 15-20 of them to 90. I would say 75% of it was all afk....no bans here.

 

Personally, I will have to agree with this guy only because Blizzard is getting better at banning players. I am botting as we speak, but I'm sitting right here, and, I'm gathering nodes. I only bot characters from 85 to 90; however, I run endless battlegrounds to gain the experience opposed to questing. This has to be weighed between do you want to risk getting stuck from a poorly coded profile or risk getting reported for botting in a battleground with other players.

Overall, we all bot at our own risk thanks to our greed. You'll just need to find that balance between AFK and babysitting that makes you appear as a real player.

 

Its some what luck really, blizzards software is not great for it cant scan over 7 million people at once . I know alot of gold farmers who sleep while farming but they dont stay logged in for more then so many hours a day per a account

 

Oh yea do not get me wrong it is in moderation. Never three day 24 hour botting binges

ye dont do it like me i was stupid i did pure questing from 1-90 ive had 7 classes then got the banstick on a few accounts and my main never quest full to 90 mix it up do quest for a few hours then dungeons manually with tyrael hb then a few hours archeology then stop the bot for a while log back in. but ye full questmode to 90 wil get u banned atleast with me.

 

dont keep saying that i was like you i cant be banned i hade alot of account i had a holy paladin with 2k rating from tuanha class then i just went crazy annd questbotted more more classes that i wanted then i got banned i used those accounts for more then over 1 year also now im doing it easy mode only lvling one class then active arena rbg. healing and getting 2k rating again with tuanha class. and blizzard went hard on me evryaccount that i was full mode questbotting they banned perma not even a 72h like befor they did on me.

 

What? I play the game asif I am playing it myself, I do BG's Arena's, quests, level new toons, play for 4-5 hours a day only. Ive never went all out on my main also you are forgetting that its a random/luck if your account gets banned or not. Along with that the more you do 1 certain thing the more of a chance you will get banned. BUT then again my friends accounts who bot for gold has only had a 2-3 banned ever. ITS ALL LUCK!

 

I wouldn't AFK bot levelling, even with Kick's. I just got started with HB around 2 months ago, and had numerous occassions, particularly in the 50s where I had to fix a stuck or two that made me think, "If I was a normal player and I saw another player acting like that I'd think they were definately a bot". Running back and forth in circles, stuck on fires, poles, walls, repeatedly looting the same mob even though it was bugged.

You can reduce your risks with plugins like Alertme and Logmeout and their various settings, so I'd recommend getting these if you are planning on going this route.

 

I've botted 30+ chars to 90.. with 1 ban, from having it on for 2-3 days in a row..
For gathering toons, i ussualy bot around 10-15 hours a day, with Arelog etc. on..

It's not the amount of posts that matter, it's the quality of them.
As an example, you got more than 36 posts that make you sound like a brainless fucker
I havn't bothered to read what static has written, but it might be pure gold (i hardly doubt it, but there's still a chance).

 

I've never had a ban for just leveling. Botanist's grinding profiles should be safe.

 

I would like to point out that a lot of reports may be coming from the opposite faction.
Ive been using a toon with a name of a hollywood celebrity for a month, and when I started doing lot of bgs (playing by hand) I got 3 hour suspension and forced to change name.
Also while botting a new toon, I got ganked by an ally and he kept waiting for me to res. Thankfully my plugin alarm went off and I stopped the bot, waited 30 secs and he left. If I kept re-ressing in front of him like an idiot, he could have reported me.

So be careful in Neutral zones, bgs , etc

 

So far i leveled 6 lvl 90 and never hade any problem , this bot made game way much more fun and relaxed ) i just LOVE IT

OT; I bot afk all the time. It's what I personally payed for. I leave my bot on while I'm at work then come home and play a few extra hours. My account is logged on around 12/13 hours a day and I haven't had a single warning.


I run bg bot/questing/gatherbuddy/arch. Anything I feel would benefit my time when i actually get to play.

If you're going to bot with fear, why bot at all?
