Will Outlands Ever Get Mailbox Options?

I have a few toons that currently farm outlands and the only thing missing is the ability for them to mail their mats to my alts. (at least the last time I checked)

It doesn't seem like it would be too hard to add this. Is there any chance this will get added in the near future? Outlands is, of course, a viable source of farming for those of us who have too many Nothrend mats than we can deal with.

Oh, that sux I didn't know... as I only skilled up in BC and didn't do much after that (since gb came). I'm sure it wouldn't be too hard to implement. Find the coords of all of the mailboxes in BC and post em in the Dev forum (with this topic) and ask them to implement it.

 

yeah i've wanted this forever. i can make a lot of cash in outlands, but i have to empty bags manually. i'm not into manually doing much of anything.

maybe it'll get added after the stable hb comes out

 

Haha! I know what you mean. When 4 0 1 came out... all of my macro's I had to put back onto my bars (on the mats selling acct) ... I was freaking out until I /macro and they were there

Wow. Just checked the Dev forum and saw that a mod smacked the thread down so fast it made my head spin. I guess it didn't belong in the HB Dev forum anyhow.

So, I guess since we can't post in a Dev forum for GB (one doesn't exist), we need to get this one going. I'll post the coords of the Zangarmarsh Mailbox here after a bit.

 

For myself i never had problems mailing in HFP with GB, it was half year ago tho.

 

there's no dev forum because there's no user developed code running on gatherbuddy. you can make an suggestion for the developers to add your feature, theres no need to put multiple threads all over the place. once the patches stop, and things normalize, chances are they will start working on new features.

It does - enable mailing and it flies to the Cenarion Refuge in Zanagamarsh.

It doesn't work.

Upon getting full bags, it tries to hearth, even though I have selected the mail option. I stopped the bot manually when I saw it hearthing but here is the end of the log when it tries to do it.

This is from Terokkar Forest. It does fly to Zangarmarsh for repairs though.

Inventory is full.
Harvest attempt complete.
Bags full.
Mail loot from Dalaran.
Hearthstone to Legerdemain Inn in Dalaran.
Gatherbuddy 1.7.4.1 is stopped.
Use Hearthstone.
Hearthstone failed.
Failed to reach Mailbox.

 

i never use the mailbox. i use LOOT FILTER addon..which was finally updated 4 days ago. I run my bot 4-8 at a time...even after 8hrs i dont have my bags full of crap. it deletes all teh garbage and keeps what u want....or keep thing u can let the bot sell. i usually make it keep stuff thats worth 2g a single item or full stack. it deletes the rest.

I am speaking specifically for Gatherbuddy. Lootfilter wont do anything for that.

 

Has anyone else experimented with this at all? I've got a sick profile in the Outlands and I would love to be able to mail stuff.

Just for everyone's information, if you select the :Mail Loot to Alt" option while in Outlands it actually uses the "Guild Vault from Legerdemain Inn" option.

This isn't useful because my hearth is set to Shat on this toon, and even if it was set to Dalaran, it couldn't get back to Outlands to continue.

This seems like an easy fix. Perhaps somewhere in the code this got mixed up for Outlands. Could a developer take a look at it and correct it?

Bumping this thread but gosh, It's so annoying, like REALLY annoying that I can't farm where I want to in outlands AFK because it won't mail to my alt and all it does is use it's hearth instead of actually mailing.. (work's in certain areas like hellfire, though)
