I was reading around and most people advise not to use GB2 due to the fact it walks straight into the nodes.

Is adding GatherSafe just fine to run it or is there any other gathering bot that is the best option for this?

I mean the problem is mainly player / inv GM's following/checking you right or there are other issues I am not aware of?

So far I have only used the BOT for dungeon/raf/questing.

I understand that similar questions, have been asked. I am more concerned on what I should be looking for if I use it to gather / level up gathering rather than how to do it.

If your account is valuable, don't use GB2 at all because you run the risk of a player report.

GB2's movement and the pattern it takes on node pickup/leaving is so bot-looking its hilarious.

Hand level it or run the bot at dead hours while running constant surveillance on it. Always hand-level in popular zones (like Jade Forest/Valley of Four Winds).

Send Phelon a PM about GatherBro. I can't give any details about it as it would be breaking forum rules, but he can give you information via PM about it. It's a better alternative to GB2.

Thanks will check that out and see what I found on it.

I see, well the accounts it will be running are dummies but even so I would still want to keep it safe, I am always near by when the bots are running and check it constantly.

They are MoP but unrelated to the main acc

Thanks, will do so :) would you mind telling me the advantages of GatherBro compared to GB2?

gatherbro costs 100$ upfront and 15 per month and it sucks, stay away from it. I found a *****ed version and tested it + read opinions of the one who supplied the original.. lots of errors, lazy support, never updated, he was extremely angry at it, he said "The price is hilarious for its quality".

GatherBro does not require profiles to gather unless you choose to use the Random or Reverse option. It has it's own navigation system and works off of information provided by WoWHead. I can't tell you the price of it, but I can tell you that Lemmi is dead wrong. It does NOT cost $100 up front. There is a small subscription fee though. Phelon is also pushing two huge updates this week which will add mapping, underground (mining in caves) mining, it farms rares and chests (objects), and does a lot of other stuff. The person Lemmi is talking about must have used an alpha version, or got it when it first came out, but the version I'm using now is great. I'm still waiting for the updates Phelon will be putting out sometime this week. I suggest looking into it yourself, though. Don't take everyone's word on someone else's work.
Your "buddy" that tried GatherBro must have an old version, because the version I'm using has been updated at least four times since I started using it a week ago. It's also getting two huge updates in the next seven days that will be adding underground mining, mapping, better rare farming, and other various things. So, I'm sorry to say, but your "buddy" is wrong about everything he/she's told you about GatherBro. Also, it DOES NOT cost $100 up front. I know that for a fact.

Unless his own website is wrong, yes it does.

I thought the same thing, because I read the same information. But, his website info apparently is not correct. There's a price, through paypal, on the left side, which is only $10 (for basic subscription), or $14 (for Gold subscription). I was never charged $100.

Thanks for the info but what I meant is how different he is from GB2 in regards going to a node and stuff, the previous remarks on GB2 was:
So gatherbro does not have those issues? I was also reading on his site that GatherBro is optimized to gather fast but is it also possible to make it slower I don't want it to be the fastest on gathering as it might look suspicious but just good/avg gather ;)

I will say I was in fact concerned on those 100 bucks but if its just 10~14 that is very much affordable if its actually that good.

It's full of options. It can land ON the nodes, or NEAR the nodes if you want it to. It's also fast at looting, but it's not so fast that it will break the LCP and get you banned. Keep in mind that I don't farm all day long though, because I only really farm what I need to use. I haven't tested it by running it all day. You can send him a PM and ask for a trial, maybe. I'm not sure if he'd give you one, but really, there's no harm in asking to try it before you buy it.

I also have been using gatherbro, (no need for 100 upfront, that's old jive) It is better at somethings and worse at others. Both look like bots a mile away.

I see more gathering returns for gatherbuddy(IE more stacks), but it seems to me safer to gather with gatherbro. Once it stops leaving me at the edges of the maps, Ill use only gatherbro. But it seems it has some bugs in it that kill gathering in some areas, such as hellfire. It always left me behind the damn portal descending to the abyss.

I use both, never banned(lets hope).

      Good luck

The more expensive one offers you tech support mostly 24/7 with access to a skype room that generally always has someone in there to help you, while the cheaper one gives you access to forums that can take up to 3 days to be answered and you don't get access to skype.

I'm using GB2 and I found it safe. Of course I keep an eye on the screen while the bot works.
My drood does not stop ON nodes but NEAR them.
For me, the main negative point is the use of CTM (click to move), which makes the toons change of direction not like humans. But hopefully in this post, Tony announced "we will support WoD with or without CTM". YES !

That is only if on WoD they actually remove CTM or so I think.

CTM will never be removed. By Blizzard at least. For a sole reason, millions of lazy/rookie/unskilled people use it ... period :)
