Well I liked MOP but SoO patch is pretty awful and the raid itself is just weak. It's been what a year plus now? I'm surprised it isn't more.

You my friend are completely WRONG. The product schedule was out FAR FAR prior to merge... talkin YEARS. matter of fact according to that product calender.... this is expansion is the last of the expansions listed on the original blizzard "plan.

Let me google that for you

The expansion release dates arnt as important as the top 3 column's... remember when the gold prices took a nose dive....... q4 2011 - q1 2012

Fact is WOW has been in decline for around 4 years now and no expansion will fix it. They maxed out in Q3 and Q4 2010 and have been in steady decline since. Cata could be considered the fall of WOW as we know it as it released on Dec 7th 2010. MoP which released Sep 7th 2012 presented a minor bump in the road with an increase of 200k subs lasted all of 1 qtr and the fall resumed. In the next 12 months (Q3 2012 to Q3 2013) WOW fell by 2.4 million subscribers and a further 800k from Q3 2013 to Q2 2014. The only possible plus in all of this was the announcement of WoD showed a 200k increase, I guess hoping and praying for something fresh and new from blizz.

The facts remain that Blizz has been doing a piss poor job over the past 4 years to keep people engaged. If the botting community left it would be shocking what their actual subs would be.

Rogue Demon - I agree completely and I believe they also fear what the numbers would look like and what it will say to everyone about the company and its product. Right now its comforting that no one truly knows how much are botters and how many are real subs.

I doubt it. They would never want to make Bossland think he has any power.

He has no power because Blizzard would never submit to extortion. They would rather see WoW die than let a third party dictate terms back to them. That's called Pride.

Kronz I believe the first part is on spot. If it ever got out that Blizz was being controlled by Bossland the damage would be immeasurable to the point where it might even close the game down. Activision would become the laughing stock of the industry I mean they are to a point already in that other games who have far fewer years in the business have stopped botters and Blizz seemingly can't at least in the public's eye but this would be taking it to a whole new level and then talk might come of colusion in the first place where Blizz appeared only to fight but was enjoying the funds from botters and never really tried to stop the botters. It would be a royal mess and one that a company that is already in decline is unable to manage.

      That's my view anyways.

lol wut? bossland depends 10000% more on blizzard than the other way around... he has no means of exorting them, and if he would try anything of any sort, blizz would call the bluff and laugh at his face.

Buzz about WoW is shrinking. If you ask around, you probably know people that "Used to play'. Many of the people I played with (including myself) who started in vanilla now have a family and kids. This makes hard core raiding not possible. If it was not for botting I could not play at all.

If Blizzard wants to grow, they will need to work to expand their market. They need to advertise in high schools and colleges. Otherwise their basic game concept will fail.

It's no where near as popular but 6.8mill subs is still prob more than any other game atm. I don't have any friends that play anymore so it is very boring, if it wasnt for this bot I would def not be playing. Created my own level 25 guild 26 level 90's 5 man dungeon team, and LFR with dungeonbuddy.

It's a fickle situation the whole botting subs and WOW knows this their not stupid, we may see a massive ban wave soon in which case I would quit for sure or we may only see stupid people banned for farming the same dungeon 24hrs a day or gathering for 16hrs a hit.

I believe it will be the later that way it seems that Blizzard is doing something to prevent botting wihtout really doing something to hurt their buisness in one foul swoop. Either way its up to all of us to decide, if HB doesn't work with WOD or there a massive bans due to the Warden update I personally will never play again. But I thank the HB devs and the community for making WOW fun for me even though I no longer have any personal friends that play anymore.
