I have counted 15 threads with people complaining about the absurd amount of botters in the game on the pve/pvp and auction house in wow now. If enough players complain about it then it may spur Blizzard to take stronger steps.
I could only see one thread about bots on the EU forum. Blizzard are doing what they can, but bots are customers too! I don't see what the big deal is anyway... Without bots trade goods would be crazy expensive. PvP bots should be easier to kill. PvE bots are farming dungeons, bringing good dpa and heals in raids. AH bots stabilize markets and make rare goods available on a regular basis. Sure, in competitive gaming it brings advantages to players, but personally I don't give a sheet about what other people are doing, as long as they buy my stuff on the AH.
Yeah I seen the one where people are noticing people talking in chat in LFR's while spamming different moves and getting reported. People tried to play it off they can type a complete sentence in under a second or two but nobody's going to fall for that. HB needs to have chat disabled while running to protect the rest of us from noob botters getting so much attention.
I say well done! It clears the botter gene pool. Smart botters will always survive as long as HB remains undetected.
trust me, there's more than 15 threads almost every day but they get deleted within 2 days because it's bad PR and blizzard claim (which is responsible) to put everything in one thread.
Exactly. They get closed and or deleted. If they just get closed, the mod writes something like "There is already a thread located here: link. Please continue to post there. So there is this huge thread where everybody complains about bots. But it has so man posts, that noone really follows it. And if you post something there, it will be 4 pages back after one day. Thats the way blizzard handels it.Otherwhise it would look like blizzard has lost control of the botters.
Just /who black rock depths and lighting halls Blizzard should sort that out first IMO - damn Chinese
You really think it is that simple.? If so why not just do it rather than take HB to court.? (please don't say the same old BS about money/subs as it is costing them to go to court)
court is nothing compared to the subs....... also maybe its just a stall game, just to make people think they doing shit to stop while still getting paid
Blizzard is a company and basically all they care about is money. So they need subscribers. Its kind of hard to find new players for such an old game. And its hard for new to get into such a old game. So Blizzard has to care about their old players. ofc they don`t like bots. So Blizzard has to at least pretend to do something against bots. The best way to show the community that they are doing something is to go to court. Blizzard knows, that eaven if they shut down hb, it will only take a few weeks untill a new bot comes up. And there`s that other thing.... If they ban all bots in the game, how many players would be left? 3/4? And if they ban an obvious bot account wich is obviously trying to make gold an sell it. How high is the chance, that the owner of that account already made money out of it an will reinvest it into a new account and buy the game, the addons and gametime again? In my oppinion they try to keep it in balance. They want to satisfy the real players by pretending to do something against botters and they don`t push to hard against botters so that the botters will keep on botting eaven if one account gets locked down. If they wanted to do something against bots, they should employ some guy from the street that has never seen a videogame and give him a crashcourse in bot behavior, place him in a battleground and he could ban at least 5 accounts every minute. I personally wouldn`t need any fancy warden software to detect a botter.
THIS! But you know why it doesn't get much attention? Because no one talks about it, no one knows, it doesnt get nerfed/banned Spread the word!!
