Any opinions on whether or not its worth stockpiling gold for Warlords of Draenor? Will they increase the gold cap, how will the gold/k look etc?
I've only been around to experience the one expansion (while botting), and would love some advise to get ahead. Ofc Warlords of Draenor is far from release, but i like to stay ahead.

As with the last years the gold price always went up. People need mass amounts of gold for new professions, new gear, enchants whatever. I would assume that this time we will see the highest increase as now you need a loooot more gold to unluck all the housing stuff.

      Definitely worth stacking gold.

Every expansion raises the value and demand for new mats, gear and gold for at least a few months after release.
Later on when the majority got the things they need, prices start dropping gradually till it reaches the bottom, stays there for a while, then the next expansion is released.

But that's the "general" look at what happens in expansion.
WoD garrison feature is quite a goldsink. the more goldsinks upon release, the higher the value and the longer it takes to reach the lowest values for new mats, gear and gold.

i say stock pile im in beta and getting max profs on multi toons is ganna be a bitch, you have to quest and the iteam drops in world that starts a quest to learn the wod tier of profs, so multi botting or using mass amounts of scribes (as i do) will be hard. and mainly profs that will make gold are enchanting, and alchem. but if dont right and enough fasrm you can dump out crafted gear

A lot more gold sinks are being introduced, gold might actually be worth something in WoD.

If you keep up with the blue posts from blizz and what people are saying on the forums they are moving back to a gold driven economy by getting rid of valor adding gold sinks like the garrisons making it so you can buy bonus rolls in raids with gold and many other things to make the original currency in wow (gold) more valuable so stockpiling gold now and holding it until after launch could pay off a lot for the people that do sell there gold but with the lack of buying on the AH due to the end of the xpack and prices falling everyday it is getting hard to do so but i can thank blizzard for making spirits no longer soulbound finally i have something to do with the 100's of them that i had (sell them)

Pretty much what he said. Gold will be much more desired, it won't be spent just on gems and enchants. But then again, a lot of people could be stockpiling and flooding the market with WoD launch, making the price of gold even lower for some time. I would love to see the price go up, if it doubled I would finally start selling it myself instead of giving it away to chinese for nothing.
