Hello, so after struggling with my own failing plans, I'd like to ask you guys for help. I've been botting for about a month now but I can't make a reasonable profit like all guys in the forum say ! people are making 2k - 5k / hour, and I can barely make that in a NIGHT. So here are my charachters & professions (I launch one character only at a time as they're all on the same account). DeathKnight - Herbalism / (Leveling inscription). Druid - Herbalism / Mining. Paladin (the so called my main) - Mining / Jewelcrafting. So I mainly rely on launching the bot at night before sleeping, it farms for about 7-8 hours, and I sell Bars, & herbs on the AH. do you have any advice for me to make at least double of what I'm making per night ? any good professions ? (Gem cuts / Colored mounts sells rarely on my realm or with a very low cut, which is a waste of time). Thank you for taking the time to read my topic.
Well many people simply claim that they are making huge gold amounts . But 5 k for 7-8 hours is not really that bad - List of WoW EU Realms / Auction Houses shows you what sells good on your realm, also there are other ways of making gold, maybe you should check the paid profiles at Buddy Store to get an idea what else you could make. Herbalism and mining are very server dependent, so thats an issue, I had servers where I easily made 1k per hour with both professions, and servers where i could have never achieved it, Mining/Jewelcrafting only can add some value to the gathered ore, you always must check whether you make more profit then you would have made by just selling the ore, and whether its worth the invested time. Remember that you can shuffle Cata ores too, sometimes that makes profit.
totaly Agree with what you saying it all depends on the Server your on high pop servers dont Expect to make a huge amount of gold unless u got hella amounts of what your selling ore herbs an leather so then u can undercut but even then u get the, that dont care your going to be undercutted myself im a Us high pop server but i do 3-4 days a week 5-7 hours each ORE runs ok i sell my ore around 33-34g per stack nice sized profit even if its low some are only selling for 20-25g per stack on some servers it used to be in the 50-75g per stack making bank then but now i make around 5-10k every 1 1/2 days an in a 5 day period easy 35-40k enough to pay for my wifes account an mine for the month but it also veries on if i farm ore at all pretty much dont stick to my 3-4 days a week i just get enough to do what i need to pay for my Accounts spend abit save abit Saving now for WOD going to freaking need it.
I think its fine. This late into expansion both ore and herbs cost very little. I've been botting on high pop EU realm for about a week making almost 1k/hour and having hard time selling stuff. Ghost Iron Ore sells for 1.5g each max, herbs for below 1g each, trillium 6g each and golden lotus 20g each.
i agree with above post, end expansions you begin to make very little gold in various ways, find another way to make it. i've found a few but i wont be sharing
That's refreshing, thank you all for your help. I guess I'll just wait for WoD to make a decent amount of gold.
there are a few issues you might want to address. your main? dont bot on your main account unless your are just botting all your accounts and dgaf. only one account? go buy a couple battlechests and upgrade your hb key to 3 session. a quick email to support and they will upgrade your key for the difference in price. you pretty much get 2 more keys for the price of one. bot all night on your one account, then play during the day? too many hours. i have accounts i play 21 hours a day, but never the same profile/botbase for more than a couple hours. also,, im awake at the keyboard for 21 hours a day. 5k a day on one account is pretty decent profit. your issue is you are only running one account. take 3 bots, running less time, making 3k a day each. less exposure, longer overall lifetime of the bot, double your gold income. yes, your cost to run your farm will triple, but you will need to do the math to see if keeping you bots alive is more or less profitable than buying new accounts every month most people who claim high profits are also running in dangerous places. find a spot/profile that hardly anyone runs, then dont max it out.
Yah i would say your doing good. Anything more then 2 hours gathering scares me, but i don't even gather anymore. Without any gathering. I'm Struggling to make 25k a week per account. Without doing anything high risk. No auctions or dungeons or gathering or grinding.
One good alternative is to find someone advertising in trade chat that they're looking for a farmer, or that they're buying items in bulk and contact them and setup an agreement. Most of these users know that you're a botter, but they don't care as long as you're providing them the goods they want. You end up making more gold than the AH and you have guaranteed sales. You could also check the AH and if you're lucky, you can see what they're turning the ores/herbs into and take over their business.
Use the theunderminejournal website. Make a spreadsheet -with or without the API -and be smart with what and when you sell.
yea i hardly make anything these days. mostly make my money of potions with master of potions and after i stock up on tons and i mean like 2 guild tabs full of ghost iron bars ill just switch over to master transmuting then transmute them to trilium bars. them turn that into living steel. long process but im so far behind on money -.- and we are going to need it for next expansion since you use gold to build bases
I use Azyul's public profiles and they make a decent bit for me. With Tailoring/Mining/Enchanting/Smithing and a 90 Rogue for lockboxes I'm making on avg. 2k p/h Granted I'm running it on a 560+ toon so the kills p/h is increased compared to a fresh acc made for farming. 2k assuming I sell all of the mats. A large portion is in gold/vendors and the mats sell easily on my server but just something to consider.
But they are prettey dangerous, lost 10 accounts using them, a fellow botter had lost all of his accounts, too - also the only really profitable dungeons are Botanica and Gun Drak/Drak Tharon - the other will give you 500 gold per hour, which I think is easily achievable by gathering, no matter which server you are on. I must admit though that I had them running for long periods of time, and cant say how many hours a day may be safe - but then again even Botanica does not earn you that GPH which is unachieable by gathering, which wont get you banned as fast as Botanica when doing it for longer amounts of time . I really love Azyuls work and big props to him for sharing all of this for free, but the problem is, that a good free profile will catch the attention of Blizz faster than the very same profile which issold for cash . So this is very ironic on certain parts of these community projects, while they are free for everybody, excessive use make them close to useless.
I don't use his dungeon profiles since they have high ban rates though; I use 1 toon to farm world trash and get a little under 2k p/h, around 750 actual gold/vendored and the rest being AH sold mats after using prof's to max the amounts.
Look for old expansions materials, I'm selling titansteel like crazy in mine, sell like 20-30 at 300g each every night. I sell more than I produce (I'm not gathering much right now because I'm doing some achievements). So I made over 10k in 2-3 days and 1-2 hours of farming Wintergrasp. BTW, theunderminejournal is off until WOD comes out
I bot 9 hours a day on six MoP accounts doing Northrend Dungeons. They net between 5k and 6k each day(for some reason, Warrior always highest gph), selling everything they loot, except low-value greys which MrItemRemover2 deletes. I made more doing Cata dungeons and auctioning Embersilk bags, but I just want a hassle-free botting experience with no auctions. I do sell some battered hilts now and again, as an added bonus.
I was doing archeology and making 500 gph an hour from all the vendor crap. You just have to try different junk to see what works for you.
