I'm probably repeating a post but I cannot find anything relative yet. My question is, are there profiles created for lvling 90-100 yet? I notice (on the running client) that Kick has a few lvls for 90 to I believe 96. I am interested in any information regarding ANY WoD work in progress. Gathering profiles and questing. I was also wondering if I were to download the PTR, could I test any of the profiles with that? Or is HB off limits to PTR? And if any [PAID] WoD profiles are in the making please feel free to message me details. I appreciate everybody's hard work, time and dedication that are put into all of this. PAK
You won't get your hands on a beta client of HB for WoD, and the version out now won't work on a different version number of the game. Yes they have a version that works with WoD, yes they are creating leveling profiles for said version, and no, there is no way for you to get your hands on it. You can wait like the rest of us for WoD to be released. Even then, it may be a couple weeks before we have a working version with working profiles.
What I think hes asking is if there will be 90-100 leveling profiles on WoD launching date, kick will answer to this question if he wants to.
He specifically asked that if he downloaded the ptr, could he test the profiles. The answer to that is no. Even if he got his hands on profiles, he wouldn't have a working version of the bot to run the profiles.
Will we have the bot available to us to run older stuff? All we would need is a working combat routine and use the old profiles.
Just like with every expansion, the answer will probably be no. We may have a working version a few days after 6.0 hits (hopefully next week), but then the bot will be down again when the xpac hits in mid november. The next month, starting next week, will most likely be a pretty rough time to bot.
They have a working version, the patch will be the most downtime, and if you look at the buddystore if you have kicks profiles, he already has WOD profiles in the List.
Yes sorry about that. I had a few questions all mashed into one.- I was more interested in the 90-100 for when release. But my reference to the PTR bit was more along the lines of learning about how to create and test my own profiles in a secure manner. I do not really have any experience doing any form of programming and scrip crap but always intrigued me. But I think I'll let that one go because you know what they say about curiosity lol. And thank you all for your feedback.
good thing borderlands is coming out next week then. I won't be playing WoW until the bot is up and running, the gameplay is unbearable without it.
well on the release of MOP we had bad luck with "kicks" being away for about a month we had to lvl on mixed mode where to grind and farm BGS as i see in kick's SVN he have an alpha lvling profiles out but I doubt with any questing behaviors for WOD will be skipping any vehicles quests or ask to do it yourself as the alpha mop last almost 2 months to be 90% afk, this time i don't know honorbuddy has been increase in both users and developers this time i hope they are more serious on what they doing in wod, and hope the same of mop issue won't come up again and we live the same drama Pray for god it will not be that.....
obviously the bot will be down for a bit after the prepatch. and there will be many hotfixes between then and nov 13. but not much should change between nov 12 and nov 13 meaning shouldnt be much to adjust once the main expac comes out. i dont even think we will have to relog to initiate the new content at midnight. now for the 20 hotfixes in the month following, who can tell
This is a question of complete ignorance, so please bear with me, but shouldn't it be a reasonable assumption that at least working standalone class combat routines (Tyrael, LazyRaider, etc...) should already be prepared for WoD from those already working in the beta? I understand HB itself needs to be repatched once WoD launches, but as far as profiles go... That seems like it would be the quickest/easiest (dev wise)/most useful thing to have ready to go right off the bat, or correct me if i'm wrong. That way leveling, grinding, what have you, won't be quite as painful, at least until some questing and dungeon profiles are ready.
I will enjoy leveling one alliance and one horde toon manually in WoD to see the new areas, enjoy the stories and new content and to find out what makes sense to bot. When I am done leveling from 90-100 I am sure enough bot content will be out to be used. In the meanwhile I do something really crazy. I WILL PLAY MANUALLY
OMG...Play manually! Is there an instruction guide or youtube video for that. I used to know how to play my toons, now I don't. If HB did not exist I would not have subscriptions to WoW.
I am kind of in the same boat as you. I used to remember all my toons ability rolls and what button I needed to press and when. Now, I find it a lot more fun to focus on raid management, my own movement, and the lore and let the routine perform the combat for me. I don't usually AFK quest or anything like that (unless it's been over a year and I have been through the story 300 times). I prefer to manually move using Enyo and load up a routine. That's going to be the most difficult thing for me (and perhaps most of us) when WoD hits. Especially with the stat squish. I am sure the routine builders/developers are going to have to do a complete rework of their routines when classes lose out on a bunch of skills or gain new ones.
Actually, the combat routine developers are at the mercy of the Honorbuddy dev team getting HB up to date. The HB core devs will have to make changes to the HB API, which will in turn cause combat routine developers to have to go into their code and make changes to things calling HB's API and such. To be honest, nothing is going to work properly until HB is working with as few errors as possible. They have a version of HB that works with the Beta, but only certain staff members have access to the Beta build, and don't bother asking because they aren't giving it out to anyone except for those they pick themselves (the core developers, etc). So, long story short, the routines and bot bases won't work properly until HB works properly.
It was my understanding that the bot would go offline, the moment 6.0 is released. The HB team would then have about a month to get the kinks out, make it attach, and have it ready for when WoD released. There will be no game changers or anything like that once WoD goes live, at the stroke of midnight those who pre-ordered new content will just be available, there would be no patch HB would have to work around again.. if that makes sense? Correct me if i'm wrong.
I wholeheartedly agree with this sentiment! For me, botting is a means to an end, but not the beginning. I would hazard a guess that many people will miss out on a lot of content -and fun, lore, opportunities even -if they solely botted through the levelling content. Even looking ahead to end game raiding, it's better to experience your character levelling with all the quirks and additions than to simply return to maxed level and bot from there. My brewmaster tank has been amazingly successful in high level raiding but I played him manually 1-90 and as a result I knew the class inside and out by the time I was raiding, and importantly, what parts of the rotation lended themselves to botted automation and others that needed manual control. So yeah, I'll enjoy WoD manually for at least 90-100 and will be excited to see the state of HonorBuddy -and all that it can afford with Garrisons, etc -by the time I'm well into level 100.
i'm planning do dungeons 90-100 with already pre-made party , so don't want to make sepparate topic for this , will there be working combat routine for WoD at 13nov? Cause doing 15-20hours non-stop combat rotation manually is "Pain in the ass" .
