It has to be possible to run a script that would do nothing but search for cursed chests inside each zone where we know they pop. It seems there are certain zones with a guaranteed pop rate of them. It would be stupidly fast experience if there was a script that jumped from zone to zone doing nothing but chests. Experience wise this could easily be in that 3-4 billion an hour range.

I'm already pushing 2 to 2.5 billion an hour doing bounties and I know the cursed chests within those bounties are doing a lot to push that up since they taken 5 seconds to complete and often are giving 24-30m experience.

I don't know how good cursed chests actually are. Hellrift for instance has a very high chance for cursed chest and is a very short/easy run, but since the bounty XP was nerfed on it, making that the smaller part of it, you barely get over 1b/hr with it even though it's constantly doing cursed chests. Hellrift and Old Ruins are the only two cursed chests I know of that are always in the same spot(s), the Old Ruins one being a guarenteed spawn if the bounty is there, and Hellrift being probably 2/3, all while still being very short and easy runs. Old Ruins seems to average out at spawning like 2-4 an hour which is basically never, so you'd end up with just a Hellrift profile, which as stated isn't very impressive.

The fastest way I have found to level honestly is Greater Rifts. The old best method was doing the highest torment rift that you could still complete in around 10 minutes, now that T6 is piss easy you want to do the same thing with grifts and just keep running them. I do 35-40s and average about 3-4b xp/hr, by hand though because even as good as the rift profiles are, none of them can run a rift as smooth as a person, there will always be an issue of backtracking. Not to mention it seems like Trinity isn't fully there yet with supporting my Monk, stuff that is unbelievably easy by hand the bot will continuously die on.

Just for reference for anyone curious about my claim, I can run a T6 rift in under 5 minutes. Running a modified SWK Monk with almost perfect gear.

Kind of sounds like bragging reading it back, but what I mean; If you want XP run the highest grift you can that you can finish in around 10 minutes, it is the best XP you can possibly earn right now, it's why all the streamers do it literally all day. Even Gabynator the highest paragon player when playing in non-season runs grifts to XP farm, and if anyone knows anything about farming XP it's him lol.

Would you care to post your build as well as your items and gems? My M6 DH struggles with anything higher than 32-33.

It comes down to gear big time. For example until very recently I had to run with Mantra of Salvation with Agility rune, but was able to swap that to Cyclone Strike which allows for pulling close and blowing up with Sunwuko set faster then single targeting and dashing around. Now I don't use a Mantra with not much issue up to 35, and spam Cyclone Strike in it's place, which cost the same amount of Spirit so it doesn't effect the build in any way.

I was only able to achieve that by getting better gear, plain and simple. I got more variety in my secondary resists which allows Harmony passive to work to it's fullest, and got more HP on items with losing no damage or so little that it doesn't effect anything in the big picture. It's a hell of a grind getting gear to a good point, but once you do smart loot really shines. My shoulders for instance are only missing 2 points of resist and 1 point of vitality (has max dex and CD reduction), now whenever I get shoulders they are almost always perfect, since smart loot tries to roll what you seem to be aiming for.

You kind of have to know what you are aiming for, the build guides and DB can only get you so far, it comes down to being able to sit back and really know what you need, and what piece of gear is better beyond just seeing what gives you +green numbers on the comparison. Tweaking on builds you follow are always in order is my main point, it's completely based around the gear you currently have, and over time you will see the path really narrow down as your gear gets more and more perfected on the path you chose.

There is kind of a 'point of no return' though, that even if you say "Oh I'll use this for now" but then you start getting gear for it, be it a stat or a skill specifically, you can trap yourself, because smart loot will start giving you mainly those types of pieces rolled with that stat or skill.

Hopefully this info helps in some way, as I'm not really able to sit here and tell you exactly what you need to do, because the gear makes the build not the skills, what you have is what makes the difference. :)

      Thanks for the info.

However, the thing is it's not very hard for me to gear up a character as I have all sets and pretty much every item more or less perfect, for each character across the board. So some general guidelines as to what build to aim for (or start out with) or what you're currently wearing of items and gems, as well as gear.

Reason I ask, is my only experience as monk is with Serenity in groups. So I probably have the gear, but I lack the knowledge of the class.

G37+ The Strongest 2.1 Monk Build (Quin69) - Monk - Diablo III Builds - Diablo Fans

That's the build I use with extreme detail down to stat priority and everything. I use the Eye of Peskov setup with a perfect trifecta Sunwuko amulet. And instead of Mantra spam to spawn the Sunwuko set bonus, I use Cyclone Strike which pulls all enemies into the explosion. If you need anymore help after reading through all that you can ask. :D
