Normanis the stream also spoke about this and you have to swap servers with crz to get passed this xp grind debuff.
it's a kick in the pants i don't care about it from a botting perspective but from how i like to aoe grind for gold and xp with my buddies
When you grind same mobs for a period of time blizzard stops giving you XP for them. So you can't level by grinding same place.
Well you didnt really listen to Qelric nor seen the streamer Normanis - they both stated its around 10-15minutes farming the same mobs in that area.. Its not just 10 mobs as Normais farms and groups around 30-40 mobs at once to farm and he can do that consistently for 10-15minutes before changing through CRZ,
How do you switch it? I'd love to grind on some low pop server zone. My current server has actual login queues.
It's automatic. When you travel to certain zones they'll get populated by players from other servers. Not sure which zones. It was patched in to help low pop realms not seem so dead.
It actually seems it's very much live according to player reports, but we lack an official statement by Blizzard Anti-grinding mechanic has now been added in (AOE farming no longer possible) that thread points to other threads in official forums as well
I dont know about the XP nerfs and I really dont care about the XP. I will tell you that drops outside of instances are not nerfed. That I can confirm.
The system is quite new, and as everything, can explored deeply, if Blizz stay silent about the details, of course - then workarounds will pop-up, "like mushrooms after rain" With switching CRZ, or simply changing zone, either by farming on the edge on a zone, and jumping to the next zone every 10min or so. This will be tested and confirmed in the next days. No need to worry about the grinding mates, at all!
are you sure this isnt just a beta mechanic being used to get players to test quests instead of just grinding mobs?
