Incase the lead dies they have someone else xD

Also my friend is getting "you have not collected that mount" popping up when running bgfarmer but he has the mount he owns selected in "Settings and Tools". I'll try and get his log

Try and upload a log, it will really help Millz see what's going on, e.g. the warrior issues are probably combat routine based as bgfarmer doesn't control this.

Yea. That's what I assumed, cause it really does "work" - but by the end of every BG my damage is below 1000 & it seems to do just enough to avoid deserter. Unfortunately, it's very buggy. Though, could also be Vitalic's since he's also updating his CR.

      Hey

      1) Combat routine issue, not related to BGFarmer.

      2) See 1

      3) Need logs for this.

      Cheers

Would need a log for that. It can show in Settings & Tools even if they don't have the skills required to use the mount I believe.

If the leader dies, the toons following will default to standard logic until they pick up the leader again.

I'd need to check it out. It used to work great. It's more that a CR should support the bot base than the other way around though. I'll try it when I get a chance - hopefully later on today.

So you're gonna tell me there's more development time and cost in this botbase than the entirity of HB? Like there is for some of those 1k+ programs? Didn't think so.

lol, that is a ridiculous cop out excuse  If you really believe in pricing people out for safety, you'd take it a step further and commission a unique botbase rather than use anything public. Pricing people out is not a safety feature.

Doesn't matter though, millz skipped the post and clearly isn't interested, so there's no point discussing it.

Windows Server 2003 had 2,000 developers, 2,400 testers, and 50 million lines of code. If you think you can reduce value to development time or any other basic metric then you should probably look to acquire some form of education.

It's simple, less people are going to buy plugins regardless. HB makes way more money and sells way more copies of it's program than any plugin developer sells of there's. It's an issue of volume. Window's 7 for instance has sold 100 million copies. Do you think any program on it has sold that many? When you buy a game system the company (Sony or Microsoft) loses money BUT gains money because every game you buy on it they get a cut and that's how they make their money back. Same thing with HB. HB gets a cut every time you buy a store plugin. So it's not like he get's all $30 of your money.

Honestly though if you don't like it go get a job so you can afford it... You don't NEED this plugin you can just use BGbuddy if you don't want the bonus features. People spend more on their cars than their worth and you don't see them complaining. "WOW THIS AFTERMARKET TURBO COSTS HALF THE PRICE OF MY CAR BUT NOT NEARLY ENOUGH WORK WENT INTO MAKING IT WTF!!".

Why are you bringing hostility to this thread? I don't think you have any idea how much work Millz puts into this addon.

Finally a valid point. Yes, you're right... HB is without a doubt, FAR more profitable. However, when I joined this community years ago, everyone was helping each other rather than trying to make a quick buck. Don't get me wrong, I have no issue with a hard working developer like Millz making some money. I have a problem with the fact that BGBuddy is useless as fuck, and the only alternative costing more than HB itself.

I have a job; I can "afford" it; irrelevent. You can't "just use bgbuddy" if you care about your account. I get what you're saying, I really do... but people with cars can use them without buying overpriced aftermarket turbos. Sadly there's no point complaining about bgbuddy due to ZERO response from bossland in years (it was broken when I quit and its even moreso now years later... and search just reveals a myriad of unanswered complaints), so I guess bgfarmers price was the straw that broke the camel's back.

Look at HonorBuddy as a gaming console, when you buy a gaming console today you get a game or two when you buy it.
If you want to play more games, you have to buy more games, you don't get all the games for free just because you own the console.
HonorBuddy is a very unexpensive gaming console, and a few games is expensive, I agree, I allso have a botbase that I have at a higher price.
The reason I have that is because if too many users have the botbase and everybody runs it, it becomes more or less useless as it's too many players running around at the same spot.

sooo... what you're saying is, you can't use HB (as a default) in bgs? You should go to the support forums and maybe get some help on how to use.

You both missed the point... bgbuddy is so ridiculously obvious, and has been for literally years with 0 changes.

I admit that I shouldn't have taken it out on millz/bgfarmer... but the ridiculous pricing rubbed me the wrong way (and still does). This probably isn't restricted to millz/bgfarmer, but this is the first paid item I've been interested in (AND ACTUALLY WILLING TO PAY SOMETHING FOR), since returning (and the buddy store being in place). That said, I'll divert my whinging to BGBuddy where it belongs.

Like anything in real life, there is supply and demand. Someone comes along and notices a niche market, they put the time and effort in to produce a product - then they sell for whatever they want as the market is theirs. If a competitor notices their is potential to sell to customers of a lower price range, they will produce something (maybe better) and sell it for cheaper. Lazy/impatient people will pay this money cause they can - it's every ones choice here to play WoW (pay for it also) and pay extra alongside to bot.

Building a bot base or routine requires learning a skill, the same for a bot. Not everyone knows programming otherwise you there would be a lot more products.

Bit unfair really fur such a discussion in the thread, I own and have used the product throughout a lot of the development, I have also watched it for quite a few hours, this was months ago before the product has even been improved more. The number of different options it gives you and the reduced risk to being banned is worth the price. Maybe BGFarmer isn't worth this much? Well all products have a high mark-up to start with. Down the road the price will drop when more people own it and the initial demand goes down, but you can't blame anyone for wanting to make money. This isn't a 100% open source community. If 1 person in 10 complains about the price, you would be stupid to lower it, satisfying everyone is impossible.

HB addon prices are a joke in general.

This thread isn't really the place for this discussion, but I'll put in a few pointers here.

      - BGFarmer is a 'nice to have'. There's an alternative available (BGBuddy) which comes with the bot. It's up to you to decide whether the price tag justifies the extra features and increased safety that BGFarmer brings. BGBuddy works fine, it's just heavily used and a little obvious.

      - It takes a long time to learn C# (..and be good at it..). Anyone is free to learn to code, and use the open Honorbuddy API to develop addons for themselves.

      - If it was free (or cheap), everyone would use it, and other players would just get used to it's characteristics making it stand out again as being a bot. Lower user base increases safety. The high price tag does limit/reduce the sales, and that's ideal for the nature of this addon.

      - AknA hit the nail on the head with the pricing compared to Honorbuddy. HB is like a gaming console, it comes with a basic structure, but you still need to buy the games from other developers if you want to do more with your console.

      - BGFarmer took a serious amount of time to develop, code, and test to make it how it is today. We're not talking a couple of weekends with a few hours here and there, it's 10-12 hours each day over multiple months.

If you don't like the price, then you don't need to buy it :)

      True words.
I don't blame your pricing, imo HB should implement more good bots into their whole package and sell it as a bundle rather than offering a more or less useless "console" and charging money for every addon.
Anyway I do not use this addon, since I have fun doing BGs and hence I'm not in need of a bot for it hehe
      Wrong topic anyway ;)

Which is better for this bot. Having the bot control movement or the CR?

And thanks Millz i love your products (long time user of demonic premium) its great to have a alternative to bgbuddy i have been waiting a while for somthing not so bot like for pvp and you delivered.
