Yup, that's where I started, it's easy to understand and you can just copy the entire "blank" profile they got and replace with the things you need.

      Hi Lupqtn,

Again it has been a long while since using the creating profiles, and i am at work so i cannot check if they still essentially have a 'record' function which tracks the hotspots.

Drop me a message later if you are still struggling, im sure we can get you sorted :) Failing that, im sure somebody around in the mean time can assist.

      Thanks

      Hi,

Firstly take a good look at this guide, it is illustrated and detailed though concise:
      https://www.thebuddyforum.com/honorbuddy-forum/gatherbuddy-2-profiles/112809-guide-private-gatherbuddy-profiles-pictures.html

You'll use a mix of HonorBuddy and in-game addons to make routines.

At the very least, it will prime you for the general principles of making your own GB2 profiles. It should be said that with WoD things may change significantly in the pipeline of producing private profiles (or the need for them), however it's good to get started with the guide above and to ask.

If you want to be a purist, and perhaps it's best if you're starting or want full control is to map the path yourself -essentially with your gatherer/druid/whoever:

      * Fly to hotspot xyz1
      * Switch to HonorBuddy, click Developer Tools and then Generate HotSpot
      * Copy the Hotspot coordinates from HonorBuddy
      * Paste them into the Hotspots of your GB2 profile
      * Fly to next hotspot (xyz2), Repeat

Doing so you generally create a loop, and if it's *only* you using this profile then you won't have to worry so much about LCP detection. You should add hotspots as you go, and really the process may seem laborious but you can map a decent route of Jade Forest in under 30 mins once you get the habit down. There are massive advantages to doing it this way and of course you probably know most of them as you're enquiring to make your own so you'll know any time investment is worth it for a private profile.

If the purist method still seems too much hassle then do follow the steps in the link above, it's pretty easy to follow as long as you are careful not to miss a single click in the guide... I remember one part being a bit sketchy.

Hope that helps, let us know how you get along with your endeavours!

      ~G

Thanks dude, it was into that post earlier, but as the comments said it seems like everything was out of date addons / program and everything, cant i just use ur list follow the instructions and use this one Honorbuddy:Levelbot:Gatherbuddy2 Starter Profile - The Buddy Wiki
and paste the hotspots into there? Or wont it work?

      That will work perfectly.

Be sure to test your profile as you go, and be extra careful of adding Mailboxes... as they can be unpredictable (i.e. it's impossible to assess if your bot will get stuck travelling to a Repair NPC or Mailbox), whereas a simple Hotspot/Blackspot route is pretty easy to predict and safeguard.

I'll try post some screenshots and attach a template file I use myself later,

      All the best

I'm not sure if it's been mentioned ITT already or if perhaps I'm out of date in my small knowledge of WoD, but isn't flying going to be disabled for a while? GB2 profiles perhaps won't be that good for a while.

I am surprised that there is not an plugin or botbase that would allow you to record your path plus your Z axis to create your profiles.

One thing I use to do, was have the gatherer add-on in-game, be in a big guild, and get all the data over time for any gather nodes farmed. Then I installed an add-on called Routes. It was made with Gatherer in mind. What this does was make a line on your map, the most efficient to fly to farm the nodes you select.

Now, make your profile with these lines. Whenever the line turns, add a hotspot. Every turn, hotspot. Soon you will have a beautiful profile that farms really efficiently. Make a few diff routes, add in a profile mixer and your farming looks a lot more like a player vs a bot running the same path every time. :)
