This has been happening since about 4 HB updates ago. Every time I try to update, I'll get this error: I click OK, where it will go to the HB Login screen. If the update isn't mandatory I can still use HB fine, but sometimes it is and HB won't launch until I do it. HB is always run as Administrator. There's no log file as I don't even reach the bot window before the error occurs, so a picture of the error itself is what I had to include. I've tried disabling antivirus/firewall, and a number of other steps that I saw for similar situations, but none were exactly like mine. What I'm having to do in the meantime is do fresh installs of the newest versions (Which yes, I've done fresh installs about 10 times now trying to figure out how/why this error is happening). I have to use the zip file as the executable (both run on administrator, always) doesn't seem to create the HB folder in My Documents or install it where I tell it to, if at all... (I've tried using it three or four times with no results. Searching my computer doesn't pull up anything for Honorbuddy.exe when I use this method.) The fresh installs are irritating, especially with all the patches, and with the xpack coming out soon, I'd rather get this fixed now. Any help is appreciated!
dont use the updater. Download the latest version of honorbuddy. http://updates.buddyauth.com/GetNewest?filter=Honorbuddy Then do a clean install into a new folder. Do not reinstall over a previous installation or move items from the old installation into the new one.
