I hope that there continues to be a lot of free bots, plugins, and profiles. I have never paid for anything except Honorbuddy. If it gets to the point where there are microtransactions required to have functionality with Honorbuddy then I will likely look for an alternative means to bot. You can't really blame them for wanting to get paid for their work. We are talking about other botters like you and me. Some of these guys put more time into developing and maintaining their code than I put in at work in a week. I bet they don't make nearly as much in donations as you and I do at our jobs. If I had written a really good set of profiles or something else then I would probably try to get paid for my work. As it is currently I do not post profiles I write for myself. If I thought they were good enough that I could make money off of them then I would try, but I'm just a dabbler. I can edit and frankenstein other code to do my bidding
I can't speak of all Developer but at least for all my Combat Routines, the free version do everything: + Support all botbase: Questing, Grinding, Dungeonbuddy, Bgbuddy... + Have same update rate as the paid version + Do 90% of what a paid version can do + The only restricted is competitive PvP content (Arena and Rated Battleground) I don't think it's fair to consider a developer a "greeding bastard" because he dare to charge $15 for his last 10% of code he already work for more than 3 year... Sincerely. TuanHA PS: If you remember 3 years ago,there no paid CRs, Plugin...and you can use Honorbuddy for farming, leveling... Now with the same Honorbuddy, we still can do that without additional charge, PLUS a few OPTINAL paid product that get you to top PvP rank, top healing/dpsking/tankin in raid, faster leveling, faster farming... Isn't that an improvement? No one in this world blame Microsoft selling Windows with crappy Paint app and force them to buy Adobe Photoshop. Why you guy blame Honorbuddy because their default Combat Routine Singular (Paint app for Windows in this example) is not as good as other Paid Combat Routine (Adobe Photoshop in this example)
Who's idea was it to setup the Buddy store account using the original EMAIL ADDRESS you bought your HB key from? Sorry, I have a dozen or more emails...and whatever it was back then, I don't have or use it anymore. Now I can't even get access to the FREE stuff on the store. Was going to buy the premium CRs just for WoD...but now I have to buy the Bot again, just to get the free stuff that used to be offered on the forums. Yes...I sent an email to Bossland...included my HB key#... but was no help. The bot is pretty limited when you have NO access to plugins, profiles, routines (paid or free) or other botbases. Why couldnt you create a store account using your HB Key?..... why use the original email address?
Thats what i expected as i wrote, i fixed the issues by buying bot basses, profiles and combat routines so it works as i want it to. "Every human being is entitled to courtesy and consideration. Constructive criticism is not only to be expected but sought." and nothing i said is out of line, just said what i expected, i hope they work towards that goal. tuanha and Kicks i would like to say a hudge thank you from myself, even though i am a hardcore raider and have been playing wow for over 8 years, your profiles have made playing my ten accounts an absolute joy! A big thank you again and i hope people here understand that Honourbudy with these great people that devote their free time mostly and some time release some paid only profiles from BudyStore, make all of iur lifes so much more carefree!
