I have been running MapRunner but I never seems to be able to build up a big enough pool of high level maps. Curious what everyone's strategy is to build map pools. Do you upgrade straight away, do you alc, do you chisels?
This is pure related to your poe knowledge. if you know how to build a map pool, the bot can build it also. it's basically simple and the bot has a +. it fully clears al lthe maps
Basically, you have to apply 4 chisels + alchemy on every high level map. Or not, if you have a lot of "+%quantity" on your own (achievable only on standard).(not the case, thx to sfrattini)
correct me if I am wrong but +IQ does not affect map drops in maps, only the IQ of the map itself does
Quantity affects the average number of items that drop from monsters. All items. Do not confuse with quality. Its a totally different thing.
I was running MapRunner with a starting map pool of 30~ maps, it combined them to get higher level maps (I'm 76 atm) and went from 30 to 18~ or something, after that, it ran for few hours and across all runs, I would say I drop 1 or 2 map @ 60-70% each run. That means I got an infinite map grinding somehow. Also, be sure to have decent pickup/saveup rules so the bot ends the map fully (and doesn't run out of portals.) Also, I don't have any IIR/IIQ%
ExVault, I think you are wrong here, item quantity from gear does not affect map drops since this patch: Version 0.9.12c End-Game Map Changes: The player's "Increased Item Quantity" stat does not affect the drop rate of Map items any more. It does still increase the drop rate of everything else inside Maps. yes, you get more items but not more maps.
It might take a lot of alts, but from my experience rolling 40%+ pack size is your best bet. I remember reading some huge mapping parses which concluded that the IQ on maps barely increases the average map drop.
