What I dont understand is, most of you bot to make gold right?

So I can buy now a new account and bot on it which would cost me around 60 $ right? (some of you stated, never use your main account)

But why don ´t I just go and buy 10.000 Gold for 6 $ - would be much cheaper no?

Or is there a trick to purchase new WoW accounts cheaper? Or are you guys just crazy and love the botting thing and don´tgive a shit about getting banned and losing money?

Please help me out, I am confused

      Sincerely

Give a man a fish and he can eat for a day, teach a man how to fish and he can blablalalala

Also some people don't bot for gold, but gear, convenience, not enough time, achievements and etc.

Yeah and I probably lose more accounts than 95% of the botters here.

start small, battlechests can run from 5usd to 20usd. depending on when and where you buy them.

after leveling that battlechest to 90 [takes about 5 days if you are lazy] you can pull 20k a day from that account.

now, instead of one battlechest, go buy three battlechests. raf them together and you can level to 90 in 3 days. Three battlechests are pulling 60k a day.

be prepared to lose accounts. the botting life ain't cheap.

Not everyone bots for gold. I love playing wow. But I'm older and have responsibilities and can't do a lot of the stuff that takes a lot of time. Such as farming mats for professions, fishing, archeology, reputations etc. So I use the bot for those things. I also like playing with alts, but don't have time to level them, so I use HB for that. I don't bot to make gold, but HB makes it easier for me to enjoy playing the parts of the game that I like, like dungeons and raids and other group activities, without having to spend hours/days on the boring parts.

you will make 10 000g simply by using questing profiles lvl 90-100 (on your main account, and yes its very unlikely you will get banned for quest botting) and get another alt... its always "worth" botting because you're saving time.

Exactly what he said. I would be surprised if anyone botted for gold to sell for cash as golds basically useless. Im sure we all have multi 100 classes with professions maxed. If you do want gold just level every slot to 100. I'd bet most of us are ach whores/completionists :D

to be honest with you, i have now farmed 1mil gold which i have NO CLUE what to do with, i do this because its fun not because of selling gold or anything since it hardly gives you any money. I might use the gold to buy mounts since i like collecting them.
I run suicide accounts mostly, i will maybe upgrade my main acc with 5 WOD accs to just farm now and then after stuff i want or need IF i will start to play like that again.

What precautions do you take to protect your gold from your linked suicide accounts?

Oh and for the OP, I bot because it's fun. It's like opening treasures when you come back to the PC and see your bot with +7000g, a BoE epic, or +12 levels.

Gold is not useless when your wife plays the game too. My wife seems to find plenty of uses for gold including but not limited to mounts, pets, epic gear for raiding, enchants and more. I send her about 100k a week and she somehow still seems to find ways to spend it. Happy wife happy life.

What's funny is I read my reply to my wife and she looked at me and put the blanket up to her face and quietly said under the blanket "I may have spent 100k today on pets" Her face got red but it made me feel warm and fuzzy inside knowing I can make my wife happy with digital game currency. If she's happy, I'm happy lol.

Off topic, but quoted for truth! PS, long time fan and supporter of Gatherit -you helped me become an MoP millionaire and proud owner of Sea Turtle!

On topic, I've found it very hard to get my head around making generating Gold in WoD via Professions. As a result I have considered the best option (to myself) for generating 'millions' of gold in WoD has been to sell Heroic Highmaul boosts. With the Personal Loot system and flexible raid size a well geared raid can each stand to make upwards of 25-53k each for <2 hours work. The effort of gathering in MoP versus the effort of organising a regular boost in WoD seems comparable and (in my opinion) is a little cleaner than Gathering. Remember this is just my situation, we're Mythic raiders and at the point where boosts can be efficient and the demand is high. Then there is GDKP but that's a whole other story.

Not to derail the the thread, but simply is Gold making possible through Professions in WoD even possible? I see the Mats and Crafted items at such low value, I can only ascertain that serious Gold is either (suicide) farmed via instances or from services (such as boosting).

Nope, but then I don't use HB to gain gold.

I use it to be able to keep up in fights with a good CR and raidbot, and also to not have to manually do things that involves a lot of mouse and/or key klicking.

Reason being that I suffer from sever arthritis in my fingers and the only way I can keep playing WoW (and be useful in raids/dungeons) is with the help of HB. So no, not all of us use bots to make money.
