Very Simple question, Basically i have no interest in using honor buddy for leveling, farming, becoming a glad.

All i want it for is something to assist me with my rotation during raids. My hand cramps up due to an injury i sustained many years ago making spamming a rotation very difficult for extenuated periods of time.

I love the game, and want to raid but because of my hand it's very difficult to do while maintaining high dps.

if you guys dont think honor buddy is right for me and have other suggestions im game for those too. I really dont want to get banned as i would be using it on an account i've had since vanilla and has quite a bit of my life on it XD

Botting is botting. I use CombatBot a lot. For the exact reasons you mentioned. I'm just not a good keyboard player. But with that said, I've also leveled who knows how many characters, ran dungeons, bg's etc and never had a problem. It's all in the way you bot. Be smart and you'll be okay.

      *EDIT*

Also.. if you REALLY don't want the risk of losing your account, you could always go the macro route. This site has a lot of good ones (Wow Macros | Macros for WoW Warriors, Hunters, Paladins, Warlocks, Druids, Monks, Mages, PVP, PVE, and Funny Wow Macros | World of Warcraft)

(mods: hopefully it is okay to post an external link? If not I apologize)

Warden scans your ram for known DLL routines. There is no way you can "get away with it". You just play the number game and hope that when warden scans your system with a random snapshot and compares it and places a flag - that you will not be investigated.
There are only so many staff members reviewing the flags. Hopefully you will only have a minor flag, do not pose a high risk so that your flagged account is escalated for personal review and you can get away with it.
Its a numbers game, the odds are decent - millions of bots, many will have a higher warning as they will be multi botting and flagged for economy abuse.
      Know the consequences.
      You can mitigate.
Use a custom bot pc(s) - warden will log your pc specs, windows id etc.
Use a VPN - altho warden can use a trace to find the jumps it takes from pc to server
Change all your email and passwords once you start botting to pretend the account is stolen.

If you get caught use your mobile to sync to a separate PC (so its shows the fresh mac, ips, and pc identifiers) and plead stolen account. They can see the timeline where all the emails and passwords were changed. You might get lucky. I havnt so far but you may. Otherwise go buy another(s) account and start again.

      Thanks for the laugh man.

But on topic, OP, the chance is very slim, but as always it is there. But if you are wholly using it to do your rotation then the chance of you getting banned is near enough asymptotic to zero. This need not apply if you use it for any of the following:
      1. PVP rotations
      2. Interupting
      3. OOC buffing (might seem silly, but when you have a warrior doing commanding shout and instantly swaps to battle when you buff stam it looks suspicious).
      4. Movement
      5. Anything else that looks "non-human".

Some of those are very nit-picky, but better don the tinfoil hat if you want to reduce player reports, and none of those I assume will cause any problems with your hand. That's how I play on my main account anyway, I handle all movement and OOC things with as few fancy features on as possible.

Botting by combat bot (do the combat only) is a very low risk. But there is a risk.
The golden rule in botting: Don't bot on an account that you dont want to lose.
Even the risk is probably below 0.1% bannchance, it is still a risk.
You pick a raid, full of douchbags, and they figure out that you bot, they will probably report you. just because you kick every spell within milliseconds.
Gather enough reports, and you will be investigated. maybe. If the investigation goes deep, you may get a ban.

So.... yes. CombatBot still has a chance of getting your account banned. A low chance, but still.

Again. if you love your account so much.... don't bot!

Blizz can not scan anything on your computer, it's an invasion of privacy.

last i checked there Tos doesnt' hold up against privacy violations by them using your internet and your computer to scan your ram/files i last read this about 6mo ago thats why 90% of bans from what ive been "told" happen out side of the U.s.

      1. They cant scan your computer if you live in the US. (as far as I know Its against the law in the US, now if you live in another country that could be another story)
      2. Take the time and read the many many many ban post and you wont find one that has a ban from a CR. They got a ban for stupid reasons.
      3. Don't listen to homeiswhereonestartsfrom lol

      That golden rule sucks :p
I really dont wanna lose my account which I've spent countless hours playing. But I'm just too lazy to play by hand, so if I cant play with honorbuddy I'd rather not play at all heh.

And to answer question: CRs only w/o interrupts / instant buffing is slim to no chance of ban.

Since they added the random timer to interrupts, there has been no bans from only using CRs, now before they made that change, yes there were bans due to the fact the CR would interrupt before the player even sees the data come across there screen to interrupt lol

Exactly you can't get someone to sign piece of paper that it's alright to do something illegal to them. There are of course exceptions to this rule, what pops into my head instantly is probably the MMA/boxing papers the participants need to sign prior to a game.

This thread should go on the hall of fame of HB conspiracy theories. It is outstanding. Truly.

been botting with same account for 5 years now (lost previous one with pirox).
no problems till now. mostly for rotation when questing, a bit of afk leveling(although i know when kicks profiles get stucked) done some afk skinning and some afk mining in the past.
a few low lvl dungeons aswell, but thats it, just a bit of every main feature of the bot, but no pvp whatsoever!
the only ban i got was from pqr (72 hours) and remember every1 who used it for pvp a lot, got perma-banned, so staying away from pvp would be a good idea.
