Hey guys, Getting into building some new chars (restarted on Torment). Really enjoying EB at the moment, Example Routine doing a great job for the most part, but there is one area I am having issues with, and that is Strongboxes. Currently without a kiting/retreating option, the char opens a strong box and yolo tanks whatever pops out. That is ok if you are running a really tanky build, but with the nerf to block and the squishiness of casters/bow users, I often see my char crumple on the floor from a rare box. Is there anything a non-coder (IE someone who doesn't know how to make custom CR to retreat) can do for these squishier builds, or some advice in general you've found to survive? Any assistance is appreciated, posted here or PM'd. Thanks for your time!
I kind of stumbled upon one. I was always getting dropped so quickly getting into position but with a movement skill tied in as a ranged single target skill, it gets me into position without the delay to damage, so as long as my damage with VP is > incoming, I'm doing great. And yeah, as an update, the old trusty CWDT setup is helping out a lot. Not a cure all, but definitely has made a difference to deaths.
From what I understand, Cast When Stunned is the only trigger gem that will save you from instagibs as it checked before your health is reduced to zero. Doesn't help if you run Unwavering obviously.
