Ever since the update I have been afraid to run honorbuddy because of the sudden posts about getting banned. I run hb on my main account and don't want to loose it, mostly for cr's and leveling.

Can anyone confirm that hb is in fact "safe" to use?

I read that wow is scanning for applications that attach to wow itself.

      never banned for HB

      never grinded, gathered, ah sniped

      only leveling, bg farming, CR

also you can get banned for fly/wallhacking only if GM personally catch you on it

I am also generally curious about how Blizzard's new application scanning measures work. If someone could explain what that's all about it would be much appreciated.

There are always people being banned, but as I understand it, there is a trend that more botters report bans after major patches.

When you say safe to use, I'm not sure what you're getting at. If you're asking whether more bans indicate that the software is detected, well no, as blizzard would ban everyone.

If you're asking if you are more likely to be caught botting currently, then that answer would depend on what you're doing, as there tend to be trends where certain activities are riskier at times depending on what activities blizzard is trying to track.

In my experience it's the people running multiple accounts, botting in an unsafe manner, and farming gold to sell that tend to be banned. As someone who bots on 1-2 accounts for fun I haven't been banned since Wotlk. Anecdotal of course, but the ban reports forum shows the very small minority of people who have been banned in the overall absolutely massive honorbuddy community.

no one knows that the bot is undetected thats what matters it can be a player report that gets you banned but the bot is undetected mostly the gm in game know that you arent on the pc and they wil just teleport you to a place where you get stuck and if you keep runnin at a wall they know youre botting but that doesend mean the program is not safe its just that they know you botting because you run into a wall thats why when ever i bot i make sure im with the pc the risk is only with questbotting if you bot manually like using a custom routine to do the rotation and you move the charr manually you wil never bee banned

There's no bot out there which is 100% safe, botting is always a risk and it is up to you if you bot carefully or recklessly.
