Get it now from Buddy Store Anonymous is a plugin designed to be able to take screenshots or stream without names of any kind to identify the user. This plugin emits information to the game client. While variable names and functions required to run are randomized on every load, there is still an added risk. Note: All clients are now supported! (Not just en-US anymore!) Features shown by the pictures and described below each one: Player name is replaced with a custom name - Pookthetook as pictured Player's pet's name is replaced with the type - Voidlord as pictured Target's name is replaced with the player's class - Pictured as Druid Target of target's name is replaced with the class Focus's name is replaced with the class - Pictured as Hunter Focus target is replaced with the class Custom name for the user replaces the class name for instances that the class would be used. For example, instead of saying Warlock for the target's target it says Pookthetook. Names of all players, guardians, and pets are hidden on load. NPC names are left alone so you can see them easily if you had them on - tooltips are left alone for them too - more on that below All names on nameplates are removed completely Tooltips will hide names User's name is replaced with the custom name Other player's names are replaced with the class - Pictured above as Paladin Pets have their names replaced with their type - Pictured above as Spirit Beast Pets, guardians, and totems have their owner's names replaced with Unknown Names are replaced with class for all players in party compact and normal and raid frames Pet names are replaced with the pet type Score screens for battlegrounds have all player names replaced with their spec and class Masks pvp ratings The Settings UI: Note: These images may be out of date as new updates are released Settings Tab: Able to set a custom fake name for your character. If left blank - the name will be blank in game hidden Settings are saved per character More settings to be added as needed for new features. On plugin disable or settings changes it will attempt to reload the wow window. Don't panic! This is intended to clear all lua scripts. Some addons may interfere with this reload so it will have to be manually reloaded with /reload. Only the default client is fully supported. Custom ui addons may or may not be compatible with all features.
I like the idea of this and i'm very happy to see a feedback tab. should be added for more plugins/routines aswell! GJ
Awesome plugin, very good job. also if you could add masking guild name + people in guild and stuff like hide rating this would be even more awesome
You got it! I have a few other changes from suggestions people have sent as well. Currently out of state, but I will push an update asap now that everything seems to be settling down (and I can actually log in!).
Update waiting approval. - Rewritten core supports ALL clients now. - Can now toggle what to hide/mask or not as per-character settings in the UI. - Will now mask pvp ratings. On a seperate note - I made all A's on my university finals
Could i for example, change my ratings to any number I want rather than the XX's? Just for fun stream purposes.. i could set my rating as 2900?
trying to use the plugin today...fake name change doesnt seem to work for me...after it reload it my toon name still remain the same..ive disable all my add and still same result...i need help
