[PAID] GarrisonButler

Even though I really like GarrisonButler, you're a little too biased IMO
GarrisonBuddy can already do almost everything GarrisonButler can do, but can also do the daily Warmill, weapon upgrades and applying of it (whether you want to or not). It can also buy mats to keep you from capping resources. It's rudimentary, true, but it does stuff ppl really need/want.
GarrisonBoss can do about twice as much as Butler, functionality wise. So to say Butler is the best product for "complete" Garrison functionality; well no. I think it has the least functionality of the three right now. But what it does, it does it well. I'll give you that
I'm using all three now to get what I want done for my chars... too bad there is no one product that can do it all

congrats, you just figured out why some features are "missing". There's 2 types of devs, people who toss a bunch of code and features (half assed for the most part) waiting for bug reports to fix it, then you have people who take the time to make sure shit works before they release. That's how you know who's in it for the money

I didnt see anywhere when I bought the ICE version that I have to read 10 pages of the forums every time that there is a update to find a fix that I need to put myself....so BS

It was not intended to flame, but I can see why you take it like that.
I really like Butler, but I recently had to switch to alternatives because development is too slow for my taste (especially compared to others), and some essential (again, for me personally!) features are missing that others have and DO work.
You cannot simply translate "missing features / slow development" into "stable product". Butler may be be tested 10 times more, but still has bugs that need to be fixed. If you're testing something for 3 weeks before releasing, and then has bugs... That's probably why it's slower in development. If you test something for a few days and then release it to the public, you will get much more feedback and can begin fixing things earlier. I guess it's a strategy type of thing, chosen by Deams? I do not know. I do not disapprove it, it just does not suit my needs.
Butler was the first out there and very solid, but now there is competition and somehow they managed to surpass this one. I still hope Butler can one day do all Garrison stuff (the inside stuff mostly) with the same quality I've gotten used to!
Butler does my missions, Boss does all the things Butler can not do at all and Buddy is simply faster (movement, salvaging, work orders) so it's a hell to set it all up the way I want it lol.

It is! Totally up to him and because he's so kind and transparant about all of it, I did not hesitate to buy it a while back. That's why I also stated that I hope someday it will meet all of my needs again.

 

To Soeski's point, I am currently running Butler as my main do everything it can bot, and Boss for the Primal exchange and the Scrap Metal mission, and a quest profile that I modified that does my JC daily. During times there is a major bug with one, the other can handle most of the rest. And despite Butler and Boss having great GUIs, when managing my 10+ garrisons I find that I am always using Notepad++ and its ability to find and replace in multiple files to make changes across all my toons.

Recently, the trading post stopped working in Butler, so I had to enable that feature in Boss and it was handled until Butler was fixed again. But despite having a large number of features that Butler does not have, I find that Boss gets stuck regularly. I know early on, Deams spent a ton of time ensuring that his botbase was robust in pathing (remember the mesh issues around the ore work order guy?). So each bot has strengths and weaknesses.

Buddy has only been out a couple days, but it has superior pathing, to be sure. However, its lack of configuration just about hosed me. It thought that it could upgrade all my followers for me, and tried to. Sadly, it is still new and buggy and tried to upgrade a 675 follower and fixated, getting stuck in a loop. Pure logic error. I haven't seen a road map for Buddy, yet. However, I am sure that it will try standing on the shoulders of those that came before it, capitalizing on all the innovations that Butler and Boss made.

We have had Butler going for around 5 months. Those were 5 months that I didn't have to manually mine my Garrison. That was worth the cost for me... 3 times over. For those that are just now getting into the garrison automation scene, you may not have seen the options as they were early on. Deams really created the features that everyone is saying the other botbases have.

TLDR: Pros and Cons to each garrison botbase. For best results, use them all, and customize your solution to meet your needs. Be ready to maintain the botbases, however, as Blizzard and the HB team are frequently making changes!

 

quick question - does anyone created profile to gather daily weapon or armor for scraps? or weekly seal of tempered fate? Would be very helpfull since buttler is missing it and not looking like its goin to be implemented anytime soon?
shouldnt be too hard for someone knowing how to, with hbrelog it would be blessing

if your xml literate, all u need to do really is change the Quest and NPC ID numbers and a few moveto locations here and there

broken / won´t work with new hb -> downgrade to last version and if you use hbrelog make sure to disable update in options.

Woohoo, I got it now. Sweet I can use Butler again.

Will the trading post, mining and herb Work Order bugs be fixed in the nest release? My char does indefinite loop at the mine and garden talking to NPCs. Trading post is broke as my char headed to the wall.
