I'm abit curious to find out what it's like nowdays since from memory the higher ratings were more or less littered with HB users.
dont know about hb, but i do know with most crs, payed ones, you need to shut down half or more to even reach 2400+
HB is the jack of all trades bot. There are enough more specialized out there, that are untouched. OC lots of this users has also botted with HB and are of the grid, but more than enough are left who only farmed with a second acc with hb. If you dont care about mounts than there is no reason to link two acc´s in one B-Net Acc.
Times like this I wonder if I've been living under a rock for the past 10 years. So what would you recommend as an alternative if I just want a CR bot for pvp?
Ideally yes that would be something I wanted to do for the longest of times. Having been a pve player for as long as I can care to remember I came back and thought to myself to try out pvp which didn't end well since there were buttons I never even realized they were there. Abilities you hardly ever use outside pve and other random things I never knew about PvP in general like DRs. I usually come home and have about 2 hours of free time to decide how to spend it and there have been several occasions when I tried to sit down, look at youtube videos of pvpers trying to teach you rotations and what not. Informative yes but not very useful as I found that pvp is very situational and not many youtubers explain how or when to use certain skills in specific situations. Very rarely you find youtubers teach you neat tricks like how to setup your keybindings, what UIs to use etc. I've tried to look at videos and really teach myself how to play certain classes but it always ended up being a huge waste of time when competent players(or botters) make quick work of me or camp the team at our graveyards. I have my reasons but I guess to some that just boils down to me being lazy to put those 2 hours of my free time to effective use and learn the class properly. But really, after a whole day's work I just want to come home and play games.
Just have some fun man. Do some bgs, do some 2s, some 3s, etc. I mained my warrior and played him manually. Took a lot of bgs to get good at it though, but as long as you don't stress/get worked up about losing you'll get better in no time. You'll only get better at a class with practice. What I did for my warrior was learn the rotation by hand. (this improves situational awareness like crazy when you don't have to think about what to cast next). Practice your rotation on dummies/bgs/duels, etc. I dueled a lot in MoP and that gave me knowledge on how I could counter classes on my warrior. This really teaches you how other classes set up their burst, and how you can shut it down. There are situations where you can fear a rogue, kick a mage on frost, and stun a druid, so the rogue can't be dispelled. and give your teamates that few seconds to recover. Another thing you need to start doing is anticipating the next incomming CC. LIke if you miss a sheep on your healer and you're fighting a rmd, start hitting the druid to stop the clones. This all comes from playing alot of games. I had about 2k games played on my Alliance warrior and 1k games played on my horde warrior in WoD alone. What you should do is record your games so after every session you can take a look at your gameplay and figure out what you could do better. That's how I went from 0 - 2500mmr on my warrior in less than a year. Another thing, don't blame your teamates for every loss. If you start recording your games, after every game you'll see what you could've done better to end the game faster/best ways to peel for your teamates, etc. Edit: I really want to open a new account right now lol.
Yeah, thats what I had to do with glad suite lock one, went from 2400 to 2700 just by turning off auto fears lol (we did replace our warrior too though, but still. the difference was huge) I'd always double/triple everyone's damage. Our warrior must've had so much fun because 98% of the time everyone had triple dots on them lol. Before that the bot would spend too much time trying to cast fears when not needed. D:
