Yes, they can. If you're the GM 100% sure they're willing to transfer to another character on an account you control. Semi sure they would be willing to do it to any one else, since you're the one requesting it and not the other way around. Just do live chat, a lot quicker.

They can, but they WONT. They dont interfere with guild ownership, even if the GM is inactive for centuries...
If u cant overthrow the GM u are screwed.

And i had a talk with 2 GM's and they didnt want to help, bcs my char was rank 5 in guild, as the GM demoted everyone to rank5 or lower (only up to rank 4 u can overthrow the GM).

But the OP is free to try. Make a ticket and he will get his answer.

That statement isn't even true. There's a system built in to guild management that if a GM is MIA for an extended period of time, someone can take over. But, if it's the GM requesting it, especially to their own account and even with recent circumstances, they will np.

      The OP asked:
He didnt specify he wants to transfer guild master to his other char.

From my experience, Blizz wont give u guild master rank if u are not eligible for the guild master rank (and if u are u can claim it yourself - unless its bugged).

they can, but wont when the following occurs:

      - current gm has not been offline for more then 3 months
      - you are not next in rank to take it
      - if you got banned and want to take it on another char

had 3 chars in dead guilds, gm protected his guild making alts next in rank, left the rest shit out
of luck, even when offline more then 5 months.

      asked, several gms in tickets.

You can for sure. I had this issue once and sent a ticket saying that I think my gm has been banned and could they transfer it to me rather than to wait 3 months. It wasn't an issue.

had the same thing, gm looked into the whole guild for me, and i knew the current gm botted and got banned.

couldnt do a thing. So as always, it depends on the gm i guess.

Had this problem b4, put in ticket and blizz told me you have to wait for the toon that was the guild master to be inactive for 90 days b4 another toon can be made the new guildmaster.

90 day wait sucks! they should have made it 30 or 60!

Here was the response from blizz....

When a guild leader remains absent for an extended period of time, it can be difficult for the remaining members to proceed normally with guild activities. With the growth and prosperity of the guild in mind, patch 4.3 introduced a new feature in which active members of a guild are able to request promotion when their guild leader has become inactive.

If a guild lead is gone for more than 90 days without logging into World of Warcraft, he/she is considered inactive.

When this happens, the game automatically notifies members of the top 3 ranks (under the guild master) that they may take guild leadership. This way, guild leadership can be transferred to the highest-ranked active member of the guild.

The goal of this was simply to allow guilds lacking a present leader to resolve the situation without needing to contact our In-Game Support department. This was something that had been done by our Game Masters for the past few years before it was put in game.

FYI it's a 30 day policy. Oh yeah even if they make a policy while your on holidays tough luck they won't reverse it! The idea was if a GM was away another player could become GM to take care of your guild but all they do is clean you out g kick everyone sell the guild GG Blizz! On the bright side that very policy led me here.
