Not exactly true, as they are lifting some bans. Mine included along with 2 other people in my guild that got hit. But the whole letter requesting data and getting unbanned is very hard to hold up as they would not process that information that way nor call and lift a ban based on a letter.

I was concerned about my account. If I used leveling bot I made sure I had an eye on my screen as much as I could. Other then that I didn't bot exsessively (I know I misspelled). I used Garrison Butler. And every now and then a CR if I was bored in LFR.

Buy honestly. The people who botted like me...who would have expected to be caught? Did people who merely used a CR or Garrison bots expect to be caught? I bet not. But we did. I bet no one here even remotely expected HB to be busted atleat not in a year or two. I had too muh faith in Honorbuddy.

I will see what happend. Even if my letter ends up in the trashcan...it was worth a try.

      lol

Maybe if you played on a realm that people cared about then it would matter No one cares about the EU realms.

That wont ever happen cause the player base of EU servers consists of 50 people. Blizzard doesnt care about EU servers just US servers

I highly doubt asking a friend to screenshot his working wow and sending it to him and then posting a pic of the email that we all got sent to us sayin that we got banned for botting really classifies as proof i can google What does a EU account look like on wow account page and find 50 at least or ask a friend to post me a pic Wow 1 heaps of proof man heaps... Its the same as saying i own 10 porche cars then googling pictures of them on the net and sayin look here is pictures of them.

I guess either he left that infomation out. Or he assumes Blizzard will look up his info in the database. I also wrote a letter today, handwritten and I took his letter as an example. I didn't write down my ful info either. I merely gave my email and my phone number. Hopefully this will provide them with enough info.

If you write formal letter by post, you should sign it under your full name and you are obliged to provide legal address for further formal communication. At least in EU. If not, the receiver have the rights to not proceed it, unless you fill the required formal information. Of course, they should be obliged to request from you all the missing formal info (Not quite sure for the last).

Which I did. But I meant more like. I didn't name the actual accounts by name such as "My WoW1 account". I just basically wrote over the story and edit it a little to make it more personal. I did start the letter in with my own adress and ended it with my full name. Also gave my email and phone number.

I've made a letter too and signed it under my full name including my sign, wow account, battle.net account, phone number and address information. Also told them that a copy of my government issued ID is supplied by an earlier ticket aswell.

Hm...maybe I did it wrong then. I didn't name my battle.net or my accounts. I just told them about my banned accounts. I hope they will atleast put some effort into trying to find my info. They have my name and email and my number. Should I have given my account details too? Like my banned account names?

It's all bs, according to the Gm I spoke to today, he assured me not a single account ban has been overturned.. They have been locked out by a level 5 Gm and even if we wanted to we could not..

I have no idea, but I know how much work it is to search for a player, especially if his/her name is not unique in some way, throughout a whole database of names (possibly over 10-20 million).
