Hello everyone, moderators, devs, users and guests.

I am a huge fan of all the buddybots and your forums and community are usually very interesting and productive.
I understand that hearthstone is a different game compared to rpgs, both while gaming and making a bot for it. I am not that good with code that i can produce advanced stuff for myself. Couple of profiles on diablo but thats about it, but i studied and learned alot during my years on the buddyforums, so i reserve myself for miss happens while talking about things im not an expert in :)

After 4 year at the honorbuddy forums and 2 years at demonbuddy forums ive learnt that developers of the specific bot work very close to community projects and appreciate "our" work. Alot of the times you implented plugins, ai's and other rules made by normal but dedicated buddy users in your released software. And i really think that is what make the buddy bots better then most of all the others out there, im currently botting Diablo 3 hardcore (grift 45+ paragon 800 season only) and that is proof enough that whatever bot for whatever game you make have the capability to do great things, if you work close to the community.

Hearthstone is not Diablo, its not world of warcraft (altho it comes pretty close to it when 2v2 arena), but looking from your perspective hearthbuddy should have the same possibility to pushing the ladders, avoiding the banhammer, making easy understandable plugins, plugins that could change deck after facing 10 hunters running your face down etc. Now people are using this to farm goldportraits and the daily gold gain from wins, and that is not enough...Arena is not close winning more then it looses, ofc this comes down to choosing decks and, yes, ive had 5-7 wins here and there, but nothing close to being top ranked pvp arena team in wow with only botting, crushing dps and healing meters in both world and eu, or #2 geared barbarian hardcore season.

I would not talk about this if i hadnt studied the current Silver Ai running in hearthbuddy. There are so many wrong moves that ive stopped writing it down, ten days staring at it and the only thing that work decent is two paladin decks and one mage, and by working i dont mean climbing ladders, cause with the right deck you just cant not climb, im talking about using the right combos and playing the right value on board, sometimes it actually surprises me with some crazy ass move and impresses me, but I've also seen it miss lethal many times these past hundred of hundred games.

So what it comes down to is, community. And the hearthbuddy forums are dead, take for example this section:
      https://www.thebuddyforum.com/hearthbuddy-forum/community-developer-forum/

There are ONE thread there, and that thread has not a single answer, i am not blaming anyone, but why has it become to this?
      The beta section:
      https://www.thebuddyforum.com/hearthbuddy-forum/hearthbuddy-beta/

The only thing that updates are goldfarming decks, and the same problem as diablo had after the auction house went down, you cant make money on botting it, so why do we spend money? We spend money cause botting is fun, and it helps those who doesnt have time to keep up with their right skill lvl, there is alot of time consuming aspects in todays gaming thats needed to prove and test your skill vs the best. And here is it where i got the urge for my hearthbuddy bot to climb the ladder, i got it to rank 6 with a paladin deck, it worked pretty good and executed alot of the games good i ofc did see alot of missplays but that is okay and understandable.

And continuing about the money. I have spent over 300 dollars on buddybots and here is where my question and suggestion comes in:

      - As i said earlier, the community it was made these bots great, the solid ground has always been there with the developers for the buddybots, dont get me wrong, you make an amazing job and im not saying you arent good enough, we all need help all the time and that is the way its suppose to be! But for hearthbuddy, do you have a plan or any actions to make for how the community is handling today? How do you reward these people who devote half their life to improving your software? I know you have buddy store and i have spent alot of dineros paying for profiles etc, but this for example
      https://www.thebuddyforum.com/demon...es/167274-keyhunter-a1-a4-keywarden-hunt.html

The example above its not a huge project, but how can we/you make people like this appear on our hearthbuddy forums? :) And how do you reward them when they do?

I feel like we need a discussion going to get this engine rolling once and for all!

      Happy botting mates!

There is no contributors, because hearthbuddy is still slow and underdeveloped. As simple as it is.
We have only one dev working on the bot for a while, which is terrible, considering how many work is being done on other buddy projects.
Many people see this and they go to competition, where the contribution and development is thriving.
As a former honor and demonbuddy user it makes me sad and I guess the situation will only get worse, unless the bot gets signifcally better.

Beta section will be more active in the near future by Hb devs, there is nothing you should bother about since what you should use is always the release build

Each bot got its own dev team and its own mechanics and way of work, you cant compare totally different things.

often we can makes changes or bring new stuff that common users cant understand the purpose of them etc, believe me there is a always a reason for that

I feel the same way. Unless im Playing Mage/pally/sham the bots is really slow and doesnt play values right. I dont know how much time or resources it takes so I don't complain and love the bot for doing what it does. but unlike honorbuddy there are SO many plugs and paths and way more depth to it.

Hearthstone is a card game - it can not be compared with other games, built on other principles (which have tons of plug-ins).
I can name you the 2-4 desired plug-ins - can you name more? ;)

If you can do it - let's create a topic where all will write a requests to the bot functional. Or maybe not a bot - just a third-party program, related with the bot (e.g. Hearthlogger or HSBCombatViewer).

I do not think that the level of "noise" on the forum reflects the real state of affairs.

You say that the bot takes a stupid decisions sometimes.. If you have noticed it - use HSBCombatViewer to analyze the situation - and if it really was a stupid decision - just show a combat log + description of the situation.
(but make sure that you are using the latest bot version)

To help is so easy ...)

Competition? There is no competition for hearthbuddy. I'm not sayin it's perfect, but it cerainly outclasses other bots (atleast the ones I know of).
Hearthcrawler oficially closed like what... a year ago?
Hearthranger is buggy, constantly crashing piece of garbage.
And then there's the famous "smartbot" which tends to not work at all for some win7 users

So yeah... where is the competition you speak of, cuz I see nothing even remotly close to beein as stable and reliable as hb. Decent deck, decent processor (so you can run a lot of math) and you're farming at 95% win rate at r20, good deck and you can climb to around rank 6-7, that's more than any other bot offers.

Unless you expect the bot to miracously climb legend and hit 12 arena wins each time, while runnin it on intel pentium with just a few boards beeing calculated each turn, then gl & hf waiting for that kind of bot

I think people tend to forget that features in bot is one thing, BUT it's your processor that does the math AND you can set how much of that math he does, the more he does, the better da plays

A plugin to coach the player.
A plugin to easily edit the mulligan logic.
A plugin that allows you to edit logic dependant on opponent class, eg mage flamestrike turn 7, paladin consecration turn 2, and playing around stuff like MC tech, also to make the bot not over commit to the board, when it already is ahead.
A plugin that stores data from past turns, eg opponent used x amount of that card, so its safe to play x.
A plugin to BM people, cause why not, everyone BM's, if bot has lethal, make it take the most roundabout way of achieveing it

HB is fine for farming 30wins and golden portraits, but beyond that, it doesn't see much use.

      ^^ This

I'm interested to see the 1 post user whiteknighting HB reply. Also, the dude just listed some of the most popular competitors and wrote some generic bs reason why he doesn't like them - I want to see the above features in HB.

Go to defaultroutine.cs and increase number of boards calculated, how friggin hard is that

Popular bot beeing used to this day *****ed, even though it closed officially a year ago and another one constatly crashing and beeing hella unstable is generic bs reason for ya? Then tell me why would I use the bot like hearthranger with which I can't even go afk, cuz it may crash in the next 5 minutes ? It doesn't even matter how good it would be at this point. Or why would anyone use hearthcrawler that doesn't even recognize gvg cards. Funny thing is you tend to see people putting crawler over hearthbuddy for whatever the hell reason.

And I don't. Last thing I want to see devs do is waste time on some quite useless plugins. I'd rather have them spend that time on improving bot's mechanics than adding flashy, but good for nothing plugins.

This does effectively nothing, the change from simulation 100.000 boards to 10.000.000 will do nothing for you, this isn't chess, this isnt a pure math game, there are unknown values, the bot can't go 2+2=flamestrike, it only calculates what it knows.
If you've ever actually played Hearthstone, you know that flamestrike is coming at turn 7, why? because it happens every fucking time, still the bot remains clueless, until that logic is somehow instilled in it, ex. via a plugin.

A lot of people reached legend using HearthCrawler, but that fact conveniently escaped your head when you argued against it.
HearthBuddy is great for what it is advertised to do, nobody is arguing that, nobody is refuting the fact that it is the most stable bot for HS(at least no one here).
I mainly use it because it is the safer one to use, and I have faith in Bossland GMBH, and the fact that they are the only(supposedly) to have anti-spyware in their products(Tripwire).

If you still think these are useless plugins after my above response, then you are entitled to your ignorance.

The only plugin that was "useless" was my last suggestion, the other 4 are perfectly good and logical additions to make, to improve the way the bot thinks and operates.
