      Let me pose a scenario.

Let's say that you ran a bot company. Five years in, you have your first banwave. hits 1000s (if not more) of your users. Now, you know that the company that makes the game your bot works in has little fanbois (and girls) crawling your forums waiting to run back to mama and tell everyone everything.

Would you give ANY info out in the forums (like the fact that you know how they caught you)?

No, it's speculation. Botting has always been quite risky, and it's definitely not for you.

Not sure why all these people need to continue to tell us you won't be botting, we simply don't care. We all know the risks, and it's not like we're putting in "work". You start a bot, turn on a show and watch the show, while looking over every 5 or so minutes to make sure you're still on course.

My new account now has 7 level 100's and 4 more 90's. I used kicks on every character after 85. If it gets banned, it gets banned.

Please stop trying to tell people how to, or how not to, play their game.

That doesn't take away the fact that Bossland atleast could let us know with a simple "Yes" or "No" that the bot has been "fixed" so it's "safe" again. They don't have to throw more info then that on the forums.

While I agree that it might make us feel better overall, I'm uncertain that its a good idea. If BL/the devs say they know what happened, that lets Blizz know they need to start looking. With no information at all, it leaves Blizz with nothing to work with.

Also, I'm (still) hoping BL wouldn't put HB out if he (and the devs) didn't know that it was as safe as they could make it.....

After reading numerous of your posts I have to stop you right in your tracks and let you know a few things....before I am forced to punch you.

      1. BOTTING IS NEVER EVER EVER EVER SAFE. So I don't care about how safe you felt for the 5 years that you "THINK" Hb went undetected. NO ONE knows what happened, for all we know they could of had a way to detect HB from DAY 1 but decided to wait 5 years in order to make money!, or they could of found out exactly how to beat HB on the 13th of may! The things that are executed by Blizzard are down so systematically typically. So I would assume that they had something up their sleeve. So you can't expect a yes or no answer from anyone telling you that "Your account is safe". You want assurances when there are none. End of story.

      2. Don't Bot if you aren't willing to accept the loss. I go to the store and I buy a pack of smokes for 8$. Which is the same what my battlechest key got me. Do you think I give a damn if I lose that pack of smokes? smoke them all? etc? You are the one who is valuing your account(s). There are two sides of the coins and one is that there are players who love the game and bot because they want to take advantage. Then there are botters who play the game because they love to bot! Some of us don't look at our account and find this great value in it. Where is all that value going to go in 20 years from now? Down the drain. End of story.

Ok, I still have a useless MoP key somewhere, lying around. I do have some spare change for a battle chest. I will make a completely new account (not linked to my main) and then I will see how far I get.

I have a question. Let's say I use my main battle.net to recruit my completely new battle.net. If the new one gets banned. Will my main also get banned? The account that is? And also. Can I grant levels to toons even tho they haven't been leveling in party?

No one can answer that for sure. I did it once, and my main did not get banned (the recruited got banned). But it was prior to the banwave.

I bought a MoP last year christmas when it was in discount. Not knowing MoP would be part of the battle chest. If I use the MoP, will I automatically get the whole battle chest?

Btw, I am not going to use that account ever on my PC. I will use my laptop. But I still have the old HB I used before the ban. I just opened it. It's updating now. Should I remove it completely and download a fresh one? Also, should I use installer or Zip file if I download a new HB?

If you're going to get banned, you're going to get banned. There's absolutely no safeguard you can take while botting that will guarantee your account will be safe.

Unless you've received an insta-ban on accounts that have been tied to you, don't stress...Just start botting again. You're going to get banned sooner or later anyways. It's just the nature of botting.

I just want to make sure my main battle.net stays clean from bots. That's why I use the bot only on my laptop and on my brand new battle.net. Same name and IP though. I hope that doesn't hurt. In case I want to move over my characters in the future.
