I'm a little confused on how Blizzard's ban policy works. It was my first offense getting caught using any unauthorized program and I got a 6 month ban like everyone in the banwave. Meanwhile, I see a bunch of people getting 72 hour bans which baffles me because I feel like I should've got that. Why didn't I get that? I also only have one WoW account and plan to use HB in the future. My question is, if I get caught again, will I get permabanned or will I get a 72 hour ban? What exactly am I in for? Thanks.
Since this is the first time ( i know of ) they are handing out 6 months, the next time u bot on that same account it will prolly be a perma ban /account closure. Keep in mind, no one has had their 6 month ban overturned. Since they know. Hb was detected. They can do it again and u will not get that account back anymore. So if you want to keep that account after the 6 month ban, i would not use it anymore or dont bot on it anymore.
yeah, I've had my account since 2007, definitely don't want to lose it. I guess I'll just keep it clean when I get unbanned, haha. It's kind've sad though, Blizz is losing so many subs yet they still denied my 2x well-written appeals. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Its a dip in subs. Although i agree its a lot. But those that matter have their content cleared and grinded to oblivion. Sitting in their rating / title / rank 1 in arena. Theres nothing to keep you in game if you value a competitive enviroment. All is done and grinded alr. Most will come back on new content, maybe blizz gets that head out of their ass and makes content worth while for next patch cause if this didnt open those eyes i dont think what will. People burning trough content is so 2011. Then again, still 7 mil subs with poor ass content. Who wouldnt want that after 10 years.

your lucky i got perma ban on 4 accounts day b4 the ban wave and all denied no overturn think words this matter in now closed even b4 i tried appeal
i am still playing gw2 and dont plan to back in wow in 2015, maybe they do better content that dont make me botting again
Na, im serious, not even because the ban, but for the treatment they give through their GMs, the answers are all scripted, they hardly read what we say and they answer has prety much nothing with it, but specialy, because they cancel our answers... thats simply stupid, I understand they have 100k ppl trying to contact them, well deal with it, there is many people looking for job... in my Country (Portugal) if someone has a treatment like that we can complain to the oficial department of state, even if we are to blame, if we cheat, etc, we are entitled to defend ourselfs and ask for proofs... Blizzard simply gave a sht hole about it... I wrote to tons of emails, even activision, not even 1 answer, they dont phone back when i "cheat" the system so they do it, they dont answer the phones as a recorded message tell us to go to blizzard site, its all about shareholders and their fking profit, they forgot the fans, even if they cheat 1 time in 10 years... fk them, not ever I will return to the game
i pissed myself reading this. You cheated, we got detected. We deserved a ban. They do not need a reason or provide you with valid proof. Canceling all tickets ment we know what u did, now **** off and go buy a new bchest, we put it on sale again, u know.... And yes, u will return.
Man, even if you kill someone, u can defend youself, and you can have and see proofs of what you did... hows online games special? Just cause they do their own laws? One day this will change. I cheated, i got detect, I deserve a ban, you are right, now they do need to provide valid proof, if they are allowed, legally, not to do so, then they are above the universal laws. that or they are like dictators doing their own laws, and killing people when they want to, etc
You can't compare that. See it this way: You cheat or misbehave in your discoteque/club, so the security will throw you out. they will give you order to stay away in future. do they have the right? yes, sure. Same on banning people cheating the game. They may even ban you for NO reason if they want, and it's legal.
Bro, no offense but this legal issue has been stated over and over and it got bored. They can do it, will do it and no they are not above any law but are deffo working the edge of it. If you think a company like blizzard or any big one risks a scandal you are even funnier then ur earlier post. People wrote letters, emails, fakes all over. Legal issues have been discussed to death. Every time someone brings stuff like that up a kitten dies somewhere.
The fact that you are still on this forum shows that you care enough about the game and yoru account. You will be back. I also thought I would stop playing, atleast untill my 6 month ban is over. But I am so bored in the evenings and I have a young child. I can't go out and do stuff. So I'm tied to my home and the only thing that was fun enoug to do was WoW. I played on my own pace. And thanks to the bot I saved myself a lot of time. Sadly I won't be botting again. Atleast not for now and certainly not on my main B.net. Though I have made a new account now, under the same B.net which will remain clean as well. Apart from that. My first offense was near the end of MoP. I farmed ore and herbs in VotFW. Perma banned at once. I appealed it and got it turned over to 72 hour and a final warning. But oddly enough, that same account was also banned for 6 months now again and will be able to play again 13th November. So in fact my final warning was never a final warning. This perhaps shows that they do clear out "flagged" accounts or accounts that have been suspended before. I swear I should have gotten a perm ban but I didn't. I have 3 accounts in total now. Both my mains are banned for 6 month. And my new account is still clean and active. Used a level 90 boost on one of my characters and I'm leveling a Shaman now by hand (level 65) Boring like hell. I think this ban has cured me of my altholism
lvling by hand as well and have to say, it aint that bad. 15-90 without a quest and fast as **** 50-58 in detention block spam dungeon in 1 hour. Only annoying part is 70-74. Same over and over. In the meantime playing ah, making a killing. I cant complain. Will not bot on this account no more.
They banned bots because most of us will never pay penny to blizard,I played for gold. After they wipe clean botter accounts from gold you at least will have to pay for subscribtion once and decide, bot again or play normaly, either way it's profit for them, cash or ban.
If I get banned, I'm hanging up my Azerothian boots. The bot is only thing keeping this game fun for me, now. It's just too tedious for the return of satisfaction. Now GW2 I still enjoy. I am a total completionist and get every single little node and waypoint. And wPVP is so much fun when you know people.
