And please buddy team don't delete my post

i just explain that bli² can easely detect us botting in spires of arak.
Cause when the bot try to reach the flight master at south port, the bot don't go by direct way by crossing town but bot use a strange path outdoor the town( climbing hill), so it's easy to detect bot make this strange pathing (by script or players reports)

it's ally side but i'm sure that there are many stranges pathing like this in kick's quest profils....

if you delete my post like the last one please tell me the reason....we are here to discuss or to improve hb....

this has nothing to do with HB as a bot.. If you really believe this.. you need to go to kicks thread, with some logs, screen shoots ect, coordinates and what not, and post it there..

Although I expect kick to achieve your post with out any action, as this sounds like baloney.

I can tell you exactly why Kick programmed it this way...

Depending on which perk you choose, the pathing to the FP was different. The initial questing profile was getting stuck because a different perk was chosen, so Kick decided to take a path that would be consistent and cause no stucks.

The path he chose is not the best path by any means, but it definitely won't get you stuck.

So, it's similar to observing the battlegrounds, where all the bots use the same path ..
Observe the area and every toon that passes those coordinates, is a bot.
Ergo: Kicks profile, right ? No baloney after all.

when I play, I choose weird paths all the time. I take the path of least resistance, and the shortest. If it means I cut over hills some or use another strange path, so be it. I always try and shortcut my way around the map. That isn't reason enough to ban....

The path we're talking about is not the path of least resistance, and it's nowhere close to the shortest route to the FP.

      Different issues.

      1. The BG bots all follow the same path, because the mesh thinks it is the optimised distance between those 2 points. And it likely is going to be. There is no code, sensor or a sense of wandering around looking for people to follow, it doesn't see roads, it looks at the mesh. BG bots use the regular navigation system, pause navigation while in combat, then return to navigation per the script for that BG. It's a relatively dumb system, but it works.

and if something/someone interrupts, it will change the destination along with the targeting info, but it still uses the mesh /mapping it needs to see and navigate with. Navigation doesn't really care about the other players when getting to the destination, or notice them.

      2. Creating "random" path variants is not difficult per se, but it takes time and a desire to implement, which the devs have ignored before, and tried to implement with path variation between 2 nav points.

      3. The desire for a smarter bg bot, is offset by the lack of time or the need to be undetected. in BGs, every other "bot" does the same thing at the same time, because it's scripted.

The argument might be that altering the path/script, gets the bot stuck in novel ways it cant predict. And this is true. Some of the paths in BGs tend to have small entrance and exit points, like alterac or the beach, can be useless to go any other way, there's variance, but the doors, mobs or bridges don't move position. A more advanced bot, could determine the smarter outcome of bot-mob movement and take advantage, ie WSG, how the bot goes right for the entrances, but doesn't cap the flag.

Its an argument that needs evaluation and examples. Because it's trying to get smarter or trying to be more player like, it might not win more often, it might choose terrible outcomes, it requires imagination, and money/time/patience, etc.

The bot, as sucky as it is, needs to be changed, but it also means changing from a known mediocre option to an unknown risk. It's probably going to become the responsibility of store bots to fix the problem. Which is lazy, but necessary. Let's just hope they don't neuter the store version if the bg buddy is improved (sic).

      4. As for taking the long road with kick profiles, eh. It could be. It's probably not though. If anything, it has to be incremental logging and incremental warnings that get evaluated.

Whatever is triggering bans, it's elusive and designed to be.

If it's due to navigation, it would be reflected in a larger number of bans for other areas, other zones, factions, quest areas, etc.

      5. The profile takes the long way because of the phasing changing the zone. It could choose the better /easier way, but the profile wouldn't be universal between the two choices made. It would have to split the profile or determine what choice you made somehow, after you have made it. It's just a lot more work generally.
