While its obvious that the bot does not do chain fates, and turns around and leaves that fate, its still retarded to report someone because they do not finish a chain fate... just about as retarded as botting fates in highly populated areas.. but to each their own.

Same sort of questionable thinking that happens all over. Essentially somebody was caught botting and it went viral. Now we have a "witch-hunt" on hand. Doesn't matter whether or not the person is botting they still harass them. I see people complaining in shout all of the the time that people show up and start spamming trade windows on them and calling them a bot. I've had it happen to myself on an character that is hand played only.

Really if you are looking to stop the botters tunapants then it works against you to be blanket reporting every person who leaves after the first fate. It will generate so many false positives that it will just cause square enix support staff to look at you as crying wolf over and over. Eventually making them not take your reports serious anymore.

My friend just ends up setting his bot to '' do nothing '' after the fate and it just sits there and looks like he's waiting for the next fate to start.

I've been leveling my main job through the main story quest, and haven't been fate botting anyone from 50-60. I'm an avid botter, however I have to admit that I'm morbidly curious to see how far people can push their recklessness until it's too much and people start getting banned. That's if they even get banned.

Like I don't want anyone to get banned, because I love botting, but I'm still curious to see how far someone can risk it. Kind of like watching those /fail videos on Youtube. No one really wants someone to get a ball to the nuts, but you still want to watch it for some reason.

It really just seems like SE doesn't care. They are more focused on RMT.

As they should. I am all for bots cause alot of us dont get time to play 24 hours a day and we pay our monthly fee. There is no difference if I play 24 hours or I bot for my personal character. It does no harm to others and others should just lay off. Its a game. Some people are so fricken anal about being the first to get the weapon or gear... Dont care. Not like you win anything.

Anyway, enough ranting. Botters that are doing this for gil selling are a problem as they affect the market. I do agree that using the bot to gain money is probably not good as you are affecting other players which is wrong. But using it to do quests or level up, dont care.

So in the end, they should focus on botters that are RMT only. I have seen posts on here where people ask where can they make a lot of money using the bot and I will not respond to those. Use the bot to farm shards and things but dont use it for the sole purpose of making gil and doing nothing else.

Don't pretend that you're entitled to botting, because you pay 15 dollars. Even non botters pay 15 dollars a month.

Those are the RMT bots that farm dungeons in full groups of BLM.
