I've been watching to bot off and on for the past 12 hours running F.A.T.E.S. a couple things have caught my eyes. 1) The way my toon walks. He will do a stutter movement while on escort FATES. I don't know if others see this or it's just on my screen. But I see a lot of BOT users on my server atm, and wow do we stand out like a swore thumb! 2) Staying for a chain FATE needs to be worked on. My toon will run off from all chain FATES. I would follow the guy who posted something about how to fix it. Starting a new Plug-in for it well I don't know how to do that. 3) To many Plug-in's, there should not be so many plug-ins all this stuff should be already in the bot when you buy it. Not let me look for hours on the site to find Plug-ins that even work and then hours trying to set them up to work. i.e Repair, Combat, FATES etc. etc.
When I mean to many Plug-in's I mean I have bought DemonBuddy and I have 2 Plug-in's that where included with the BOT when I bought it. No spending hours looking for a Plug-in that "Might" work. DemonBuddy works awesome and it has good sub-menus allowing you to set up the bot to your liking. I am not bashing and maybe I am just not reading enough forums to help or maybe I am just reading the wrong ones. But when I bought it I thought it might be the same thing as DemonBuddy. Same setup that is.
It just looks like you're walking slow or '' lagging '' I suppose with the stutter step. I thought it was weird too but I've seen it on another players screen and it doesn't look that bad , just like your walking slow. Chain fates I'm not sure what to tell you. you could just black list until the last one comes up or completely black list them. DD on NT I have on blacklist and will manually do it if I catch it up. That also makes me look less '' bottish '' in my opinion. As for the plug-ins I haven't really found it to be a horrible experience. Some I use are: Ultima CR Zekken Quack ( Log out timer ) Lisabeth ( Crafting ) I haven't really had a problem with any of those profiles except maybe Ultima not summoning chocobo while I'm grinding fates , though that could be on my end as well.
you can also set your fatebot to "do nothing" after a fate. so it won't run off unless there is another fate up that fits your needs. Instead you will stand where you are and wait for the next fate (usually the chain follow up) as far as plungins go yeah it can be annoying to have a lot but that is community created plugins to do things the writer wanted it to do. It would be nice if some of them are in the bot but that is up to mastahg and his list of priorities of what to work on. It's a one man show. I am watching it now and I see like 30+ people using the same bot. Have to be we are staying in the same line, stoping at the same time, walking the same way, attacking the same mobs. wow I am going to grind on mobs I know FATES are faster Exp but wow this is crazy looking.
yeah there isn't whole lot of randomization so when you get too many in one place it looks a bit questionable. I've been monitoring any botting I've done in populated/popular locations lately. FATe trains have created more visibility to us, especially with a new expansion bringing more people back in. It also looks weird to be doing a lot of things in heavensward zones and never ever fly. So its a play it safe game. Yet thats the risk we take with using a bot.
