I somehow was not affected in the big ban wave in May even though I had 12 accounts I have actively been botting for well over a year, some 5+ years. I wasn't playing much between March-June so maybe that's how I was spared. I started playing/botting again in June and within 1 week all 12 accounts were banned over a period of 3 days. Two of those accounts were day one accounts. I point that out not as a complaint as I understand the risk, but to illustrate that Blizz doesn't seem to be cutting anyone slack here, I tried multiple appeals on those 2 accounts to no avail.

2 weeks ago I setup 6 new accounts and activated 4 accounts I hadn't used in almost 1 year. I had one 5 man RAF team leveling via dungeonbuddy after questing to lvl 15. These 5 accounts did not have WOD. 1 account I applied a WOD key to and did an insta boost to 90 then quest botted to 100 and botted the BG's to get PVP geared up. The other 4 older accounts also did not have WOD and were simply a farming team.

Of the 10 accounts 9 of them were closed yesterday. Emails all came at the same time. The only account that wasn't closed was one of the 4 older farming accounts.

With this new set of accounts I was trying to see if I could find some pattern to the detection. I had some accounts going through a VPN so it would have a different IP address. Some accounts shared an IP address, some were on for extended periods of time while others would use HBRelog to come on and off throughout the day. I also had some accounts using a different bot and never used Honorbuddy on those.

My conclusions? Still trying to piece all the data together but at first pass doesn't seem like there is any real pattern yet.

Someone else made a comment in the ban section that something has changed and I do agree. I don't know if Blizz is better at detecting bots now than before, I personally don't believe they are. I think they've always had the ability to figure out if people are botting. In the world of big data and data analysis I would be surprised if Blizzard didn't have the capacity years ago to flag accounts based on data analysis on their side. I simply think they are much stricter on bots now for whatever reason.

I'm appealing the bans but don't expect to get anywhere. I have a bunch more battlechests that I will setup and adjust my approach again.

      Safe botting .....

Did you use any non-Honorbuddy bots with this account? If so, which ones?

      No
