I remember the time when there was MULTIPLE combat routines, for every class. I miss it, and i hate to see where HB is going atm. I dont know what happened, and why it happened ? - Can anyone shed some light ?

I guess SOMETHING happened, since 80% of all combat routines is inactive, not supported, bugged and deserted. Why is this?

There is still alot of good profiles and other stuff you can do with HB, so i guess it aint going to completely "die". But MANY of us just use HB for the combat rotations, and its a damn shame other products is more favourable now.

Yes, i know some devs here are still active with their combat routines, but i think i can count it on 1 hand.

HB no longer supports arenas (hard decision by HB team after last detection+banwave)... Some CR devs think about moving to other platforms...

official support != real support. HB worked fine in arenas = they were supported (doesn't matter if it was official support or some unofficial support), this was discussed many times.

If you have been with hb for awhile you will notice a trend. All the old profile makers did it for fun and donations. When hb changed their rules so anyone could copy and paste and share someone elses work without them giving the op credit, Alot of coders quit.

Now onto the new age I left for about 2 years in that 2 years arena botting blew up. I have no clue why? but it did. Due to the banwaves I think hb knew they went to far and to replace the bans they gave up arena botting. Hence the few coders that left only left because of greed.

This fourm use to be filled with profiles everyone helping everyone . Now its all about money. "Give me your money so you can make .10 on 1k if that".

That leads to the next reason why coders are leaving. hb wants more a cut. I heard it was originally somewhere around 25% of the sale. But now they want somewhere around 60%.

Dont quote me on that number but if it were true I would be mad. But then agian most of the profile makers have made more then enough to keep selling at a discounted price.

It all boils down to greed as to why every coder is leaving.

      Yep good post.

Ive moved myself to "soap", but i really wanted to continue this. The choices for a proper routine for my Rogue and some other classes, is just too limited or non-existant. Thats why i moved.

I want the old days back, and not this greedy BS. In the end, the few good coders will also leave, so whats left ? A forum filled with half complete profiles, and crappy made combat routines - like now.

A lot of people who want free profiles, without they themselves contributing anything to the community, are using the word "greedy" in this thread. *kermit sipping tea*

The 60% cut is the only thing that "might" not be true. I heard its more around the 40%. But his post is still valid to some degree.

This post is not about free profiles. This is about fully working combat routines, which gets supported and are fully up to date. Go browse through many of the routines, and notice the huge number of inactive / not working profiles.

Ive used ALOT of money on paid routines, and the last few months, theyre just sitting in the dust because theyre not working properly anymore. Greedy? i dont think so.

And it seems many people are dissappointed, when you check the different combat routine threads.

This wasn't meant as a "rant", it was made because its unclear to me why the routines is so lacking, compared to +6 months ago.

      actually its the truth :)

hb is dead and will never rise again.

You guys destroyed the whole forum and community with the shop.
You were too greedily and destroyed everything.
      Good job on that

Seems to me like Bossland made the shop to get some extra money in their last years. They're just smart :D

In my own humble opinion the combat routines have stopped being developed because a lot of developers lost their accounts int he banwave. I know Fpsware stopped developing because Blizzard kept banning him regardless of how he played his account. I can understand this, and I can understand the frustration of opening new accounts, leveling, gearing, and getting banned. It just seems like a lot of work to go through just to develop a combat routine. Now, keep in mind this is in no way a definitive answer. It's only my opinion, which could very well be 100% wrong. That's why I state many times that it's an opinion. Take it as you will. You can also add in that the HB shop's contract has been rumored to have changed from a 30% cut to a 40% cut, and the highest price allowed on an item has been set to 30 euro, and not a cent more. I only say this from reading the rumors, and am in no way totally sure of the contract details. So, please don't quote me on this, because again this is only speculation and opinion.

All in all, a list of contributing factors in the lack of routine development:
      1. Contract details
      2. Blizzard bans
      3. Account losses
      4. Trouble of making new accounts for developing and testing
      5. Community behavior
      6. Probably 'behind the scenes stuff no one knows about' such as R/L etc.

It's just that it feels like HB is spiraling down into oblivion. Some people are afraid to load it back up and have moved on to different bots and platforms. Blizzard really struck a nerve when they performed the HB specific banwave (I'm only guessing it was HB specific). Now people are afraid to use HB again because they care for their accounts. It's sad, but it's also smart to stay away from HB until more definitive answers come through the pipeline as to how the banwave was performed, if HB was truly detected, and if it's even possible to "fix" HB in a way that it will no longer be detected anymore.

Just some thoughts, that's all. Take it how you will.
