I have in the past been a backer of the only dev on this project. I personally like a lot of things this bot has, but I will say that some of the things lacking will make be head to a different bot for a bit.
The things that are lacking. An auto equip, and repair.
To me these are very basic parts to a bot. I personally don't feel that these should be paid extra for in the case of agil you get bonding in the mix that is great and can understand paying.
I don't believe that it is the Dev that is lacking but the project of reborn buddy. I don't feel that bossland should be selling at the same price point as honorbuddy, I believe they have 5 or 7 devs at all times. I think that if they aren't willing to give help for the project that they will be hurting themselves.
The dev that works on this looks to be working his ass off. With all the updates that he has has to deal with, all the extra coding.
I work for a living like most of us out there and I personally feel that the dev ( sorry just can't remember the name) is getting shit on. I will not back a company that works like that. I started this out saying what I feel is lacking. I make the jump to the company with this mind set. IF they had another dev or 2 then something this basic would be covered.
SO.... thanks for the time spent, I will be back later to check up and even support RB when they get this up to par.
And before the this is open code that is what you pay for, it is the community that does it all. That isn't stated on the page where you buy the bot.
If you are going to sell the bot you need to tell it like it is.
Rebornbuddy: One poor SOB that is stuck doing all the coding if you want what he don't have time to do. You make it or have someone else make it for ya.

Looking forward to seeing you come back when RB is more feature-rich! Give it time and it'll happen. Sorry to see you go, though!

Reborn works great as a Support bot, if you do decide to use another bot for the time being. Making profiles and how it runs them is perfect, this plus features from other bots really help. Combat routines can vary.

A lot of people talk about Reborn having only 1 Dev compared to Honor. Is that because Mastahg can "handle things"? or because Bossland said so?
Not to start an argument, Its just getting annoying how people use it as an excuse when there's a possibility, its from choice and not a Bossland decision. (Unless its already been stated)

I think its generally somebody makes their own bot and proposes it to bossland. Gets bossland behind them and they run/expand the bot for pay. I think is the concept.

Who checks your work when you're a 1 man team? Who do you go to for help?

A simple business reminder: the easiest point to double your man power is from 1 to 2 people

With nearly a half a million in key sells I'm sure it's in the budget.

I thought that was the general way it was done too. Which would leave hiring down to Mastahg, not Bossland.

Other than that, I agree Reborn shouldn't be priced the same as Honor, and I agree its the community that does everything.
But Mastahg aint no poor SOB by any sense of the word.

If it is by the choosing of Mastahg to keep it only a one man shop, He might just look at the community plugins/botbases and offer to buy the code for either a set time or even buy it and get them to support for a set time. Either way I find it easier to make profiles on this bot. I just don't like low the basics aren't included. I got HB back when it was still just one of the bots that were popping up. I know that it was bases off GLider and Prixo (?) code only due to reading about how bossland got started.
Either way, The bot isn't a bad bot just don't covering items that I think are basic in any other bot.
I do think that if they were to talk to any of the other private devs on this forum that they could make a great bot, but no matter who is behind the monies, only one dev is a poor idea.

I dunno. Theres a comment from Wheredidigo stating Mastahg thinks "everything anyone else does is bad". Which could explain why we don't have another helping hand.

There's truth into that. Having two devs working on the same core functionality results, sometimes, in LESS work getting done than one dev.
With that said, i think it's mostly a userbase issue. Rebornbuddy doesn't sell that much.

yea too many cooks can spoil the stew, but it is okay to have someone chop the carrots.
For the base code it isn't a big deal, but like when doing zones things like that if you don't step on another toes, one can work a zone other another.
one can work on flying while the other adds the new info. If they don't know how to go about something they can be sounding boards.
2 working on it would be better in my mind.

He's working for a company, whether he gets his cut or not. That's not going to be half.

okay lets say he get a % it isn't going to be 100% there is the space paid for this forum, and CC processer. Then he will pay Bossland for name, and any rights.
So he could in turn hire a person, not having to half his take. They in turn must cover a amount of work for this pay. that is it. I know walmart don't give all the people working for them a cut. to be honest would love even 5% from one day in sale to cover my year working there.
YOu are talking a partnership.for all we know he draws a check not a %.

      Looking for RB

      Hey everyone

I'm following & checking RB long time ago, wanted to see when it get leves so I buy it. But it seems this BOT progress super slow. FFXIV getting more features and this bot can't cover 2.0 ones.
I think the problem about is pure 'financial' problem. Buy & Pay once is not a good business for BOT company while it is super awesome for end-users in the short term. Long term, it is bad for both; users & company.

I wish this bot turn into monthly fee and get more devs .. I know some may hate this ... its ok, open your mind and accept others opinion hahaha

      cheers for my first post

Based on my experiences and those of people I've talked to, other 'monthly sub' FFXIV bots aren't substantially better than RB. I will grant that one-time purchase gives less incentive for the dev to keep rolling out features, which is part of the reason Buddybots strongly encourages community development.
