Got the letter today, was doing my normal questing by myself in Tanaan. Didn't have any hassles with other players, etc, was minding my own business as usual and got disconnect to find that I could not log back in and I had a letter in my email inbox that is pasted at the bottom. Just wanted to let you guys know that maybe they are not targetting just pvp users now. I was not using questbot or anything, the only automated part of the bot was the combat routine. Otherwise I was always controlling everything. Just got the same about 5 minutes ago. Permabanned while farming felblight, it was actually after i closed the bot. (I ONLY bot pvp - I hate questing, grinding, anything PVE). So GG this is like my 7th account, not even gonna appeal it.
Yep banned to , i don't think honorbuddy will ever work with wow again.and i think bossland must terminated HB asap till they know what is detecting them.If you are botting..stop the bot asap.
Weird. I have been botting for the past 5 years without a single suspension/ban and I bot pretty heavily. Wonder why you guys keep getting banned, maybe poor botting techniques. I may some day eat my words, but hopefully today is not the day! I am currently botting and still good.
Exactly this, the only accounts I have lost(in the past) were expected to be lost. They were reckless farming/dungeon grinders. Blizzard gets reports and collects information, they hold onto that information until they decide it's a good time to do a wave. This works in their favor well, it's a great scare tactic, and it muddies their methodologies for us. If they happened to have some "new way" of detecting botters they would want to collect and do giant waves too, because they would want to use that tech undetected for as long as possible. But it's pretty obvious they don't... the safe people never seem to get hit.
To all you guys getting banned, have you all used kicks levelling profile at some point on the account? or have you run 2 or more bots on same pc in the same dungeon at any point? to me either of those things would be massive red flags and easy to see. same pc running multiple copies of wow and controlling multiple chars? easy to tell.
My account is banned too. Used hb and i think i delete it from my pc. I recived a perm bann on a fresh Account. I think honorbuddy cant get undetected for a long time. And Blizzard isnt stupid. He know how to get bot users. I try to avoid the perma bann trough a time bann and then i leave the forum.
I just got 2 hammered at the same time. Fresh. No warning. No suspension. Permanent. Happened the day after I bought tokens which is EXACTLY when my first 2 were hit. One begins to wonder. No debate exists regarding tokens being bad for blizzards stance on bots, but I'm beginning to wonder if it's more direct than that. Before the anti conspiracy folks jump in. Obviously more variables exist and tokens alone won't lead to a ban. I'm beginning to think just like running x86, it's another flag that they can look at. Bastards.
