If I don't use honorbuddy on my main account, but do use it on my alt account

and use honorbuddy on the same computer for both accounts, is there a chance my main account will be banned.

Has anyone within the last banwave or any other cases been banned/suspended for while not utilising 3rd party programs such as honorbuddy, but was banned on other accounts?

If no one has been banned on a 'clean account' you could probably rule out saying that blizzard scanned the computer for honorbuddy files.

      Secondly.

What if you play your main account and bot on your alt account at the same time on the same computer?

Blizz is banning the account you botted with. The other should be safe!

"SHOULD" because this can change any time and there are limited reports that Blizz banned both.
So general botting rule applies: If you mind loosing an account - DO NOT BOT!

Yes I believe so, I just had a theory. What if you were playing in a public facility (Cyber bar) where players could play games on, and someone had been using honorbuddy on the machine previous to your visits. This could easily/should easily be an excuse or a reason why they probably don't ban 'clean' accounts

I lost three out of five accounts during the last banwave. Of the three I lost, two were very heavily botted for the purposes of leveling and the the third was botted three times a day using HB, HBRelog, and GarrisonBoss for garrison missions and in garrison herb and ore collection across a bunch of level 100s across the account.

The two I didn't lose were my main account and my back up account where I keep my guild leader toons and material supplies stored. I haven't used HB on either of those toons in years, but they are on the same computers as the three accounts that I bot and got banned on. Hope that gives you some perspective.

In my opinion, that's a clear case of automated banning. If you were involved in a GM manual investigation (which you would if you have sold gold), your account and PC linking would have lead to not only your backup account banned, but probably your main too.

Even some recent reports with similar account distribution have ended in unbotted main accounts banned, with no gold selling involved. Guess the GM's are getting bored. Be careful with that, it ain't safe AT ALL.

I only have one battlenet and have 5 wow accounts all connected to it. Two have been banned, one 3 years ago, and one in the recent ban wave. They dont give a shit if you have multiple bans on a battlenet. So i highly doubt they care about a pc. My diablo and heathstone are all so banned on that account.

I completely agree. I'm not worried about a GM investigation as I don't sell gold and my AH activities are minimal and spread out well. At this point I'm actually considering putting 100K gold on a toon on my back up account and not even buying a token each month an let the game time run out so it's not active. In theory, they won't ban what isn't active and if I ever need to go back to that account for any reason the 100K on a toon on the account should be enough to let me buy a WoW token from the character selection screen to activate it again.

if you send 1 copper between the accounts, one piece of gear or 1 whatever. they both get banned.

if the accounts are linked in one way or the other, other then the same bnet, your banned on both.

edit: as in your last post. you send 100 k to one account as backup, and thats from your botting account,
you will get banned on both, even if that account is not used for months!

Had multiple account banned over the years and never lost my main or back up account. The only common ties were the PC or PCs they were on and my personal guild banks. I don't mail a thing. Sure, if they wanted to REALLY look into it they could figure it out, but my track record is perfect thus far. Never lost an account to anything other than software detection. I wouldn't even be upset if I did lose them eventually for any reason. I've been botting games for over a decade and I accepted the risk when I started. Botting is just a hobby for me, but I'm still in the plus from all the accounts I've sold over the years so I'm not worried about losing any of them should it happen. My day job allows me the financial freedom to not worry in any way about losing an account that can be replaced by $60 worth of game keys.

Actually, if you look I never said anything about sending, but I agree with that point.

Hey great post and good question, I hope this adds something to this post. I have been using HB for quite sometime from numerous accounts and characters at the same time as well as friends of mine :p

If your Bnet accounts are linked together Blizz holds the ability to ban all linked accounts. This is rarely the case unless major violations are done to their TOS, mainly violations do to gold sales, and AH bot that sort of stuff. Blizz is very strict on its economy ingame! What I reccomend to you to be fully safe is totally separate Bnet accounts that arent linked to bot on and play yourself. Just my imput and hope it helps you out. Happy botting m8.
