Just interested to see what otehrs think about legitimising botted 100's by transferring them to a clean account. Or just buy an account with all 100's already
And how do you think you're going to do that transfer m8? Transferring toons is limited by a huge stack of factors. Also; the link between the accounts will be there; one does something wrong, the other one will be flagged, watched and investigated.
interesting point, especially if you already had a 3day supspension/warning. Does anyone have ideas or reliable information on this? However, as we learned through the last bans Blizzard often does permanent bans meanwhile if you are cought for botting.
An expensive question to answer at ~ $30/alt. There's no guarantee. As long as they're not on the same bnet account, maybe. maybe. There's just no particular guarantee that the fresh account won't inherit the flagged account status. Gold transfers and mail / alt moves are monitored, and AFAIK, there's still a person that has to trigger the ban if the automated systems have flagged something. There's probably a benefit of the doubt on a new account, that is eroded by suspect behavior(s) early on, so, as long as you dither around and don't do anything for a few hours per alt, that account should be "good". But that's supposition (a decent guess). We only really know how bliz works, when they do work to ban/flag/suspend accounts. And they do protect that process, because those mechanisms are singularly profitable for blizzard, and revealing them would prevent the income from players renewing accounts. It would also undermine the good will they bank on when removing players, if players were able to coach or troll players into making those mistakes and making the process much harder for bliz to use those triggers and traps.
Perfectly fine in my experience. Long before I bought HB I bought a bunch of gold, transferred my main to a separate account so my brother could play my old account the next day. Then got snatched up by a GM at the bank in org and he facerolled all over me banning my "old" account on the spot for buying gold even though 50k(I think) of it was already on a new account on my old main lol. I raised holy hell with Blizzard until finally they just hung on me when I'd call customer support as soon as they verified who I was. Still have that character to this day. SO it wasn't botting, but just as serious as an offense according to blizzard. Worse if you believe the hype about stolen and exploited accts being the primary source of gold sales (I don't obviously).
Done this about 2 years ago with 2 chars. Both are botted each on a new acc on my name from a levelservice. In this time i didnt used HB by myself.
Why not save the money and just level them separately? I mean we do have a 1-100 profile here, not to mention BGbuddy and Dungeonbuddy. Also: Seeing as the name would have to be the same on the account that you're transferring characters too, doesn't make sense to me.
