      Hey guys!

I'm quite new to the Star Wars-bot-scene, but I'd like to have at least 2 of them running.
I've googled a bit and comby some programs, like ISBoxer & Inner Space, I'm sure these are just fine, if you can make'em work.
As I dont have the knowlage enough for making these to work properly..
I was hoping someone here could help me as I'm sure some of you runs multiple instances of SWTOR.

Help me fellow botters, you're my only hope! \o/

It doesn't work. I've spent countless of hours on that with AMD and Intel i7 setups. You can get more SWTOR to run on same PC with IsBoxer & Inner Space or VMware but not multiple BWs. One bot will be working the other one will go idle and crash. Buy more PCs if you want more...

Ah I see, and sort of figured.. Thanks for the reply mate!
I do however got a few PC's so I'll just go with that option.

      Thanks again! // Kabeewm.

It depends what you want to do though. If you want to run multiple bots to farm credits, Pindleskin is correct. But if you want to run multiple bots to do Flashpoints etc., and set them up so you can have your very own team, then it works nicely. I have only done it with 3 BW's and 4 Isboxer teams. I run default combat routine and a PVE rotation on my followers and they will target whatever I target with main, follow and attack/heal etc.
You can setup Isboxer with the default configuration as suggested on their website, and then start playing with CPU and other settings for optimal results.
The difficult part is attaching the 3 BW's lately. Before latest patch it was working 110%, but now it seems more difficult to attach and also crash easier. That being said - I have since figured out I have to really tweak dang Windows 10 to play nicely with SWTOR and one of the things that is of utmost importance seems to re-install DirectX9. Win 10 only simulates Directx9 and SWTOR sucks on that simulation. Anyway...
So in a nutshell it works extremely well in a Lazyrider type environment, but do not try to run more than one Questing profile in different windows unless you spend hours and hours tweaking.

      A very helpfull post man!

The thing I wanted to do with my bot was just to boost it a bit in a dungeon to get some gear, as I cant run 2 instances of SWTOR I'm just running Storymode atm.
I guess its cool to have it with you to dps/heal at some points, but the main reason for it is ofc just farm stuffs to get some credits.

As I didnt get Inner Space to work I never touched ISBoxer, not sure if that is gonna help me with this. All I really just wanted was to be able to run 2 instances at once :)

      Cheers // Kabeewm.

Guide] -Running Multiple SWTOR Accounts - Isboxer (Innerspace) and your bots [Kick]

***Do note*** This is not an advertisement! It is not required to use this 'extra' software with our bots!

      Now, to the good stuff:

      Isboxer/Innerspace pricing is avail here:
Multiboxing software and PC gaming utilities - Lavish Software
Multiboxing software and PC gaming utilities - Lavish Software

I haven't fiddled with wow/hb and innerspace, but it should be the same as SWToR / D3 to setup

      1) Get an account for Innerspace
      2) Install the software
      3) Launch Innerspace and Isboxer and login
      4) Right click Innerspace from taskbar --> Add Game
      5)
Name - Game Name (D3, D3 bots, SWToR, SWToR Bots, whatever you want to nickname it)
Game executable - target your game or launcher (c:\program files\d3 or swtor, etc\launcher.exe)
      Paramaters - leave this blank
      Click OK

      6) Go to Isboxer - Click Wizards --> Quick Setup Wizard
      7) Select your game from the 2 drop downs, select the game's default profile
      8)
Actual Character Name - This isn't required, I call mine SWToR 1, D3 1; name them whatever you like
Display As - same as above
Add as many of these as you like (I recommend 1, 4, 9, 16, 25)

If you want the bot screen even smaller, you can use the 'leave space' option, or you can just add more bot #'s... Just minimize the last launcher launched after all of your accounts are logged in.

      9) Choose a Name for your team; I call mine SWToR 9 / D3 9
      10) Select your window layout - I recommend one that uses an alternate monitor; if you want to select a different monitor, find 'use monitors' and change it to a different monitor for default
      Enable Swapping: FALSE
      Instant Swapping: FALSE

      11) Select background / foreground fps; i use 12 background and 20 foreground
Misc - leave these at default unless you know what you're doing

      12) Leave the 2 tickboxes as default; press finish

      13) VERY IMPORTANT - after you make this profile:
On Isboxer - File --> Export All to Innerspace

      Bam, you're done

You can now right click innerspace and launch your character sets.
You can also (for convenience) make a shortcut to the desktop for your character set - Isboxer - Character Sets - right click on your character set and Create Desktop Launch Shortcut

      No pictures for now

If you use DXTory - turn it off when using Innerspace/Isboxer

      All credits go to Kick

I appriciate the reply man, but this just gave me to much fuzz, I gave up in the end. Think I'll be fine with just one for the moment.
Anyways, thanks again and happy bottin mate!

Alternatively you could do "real" virtualization through VMWare or Hyper-V, but virtualizing does have a performance cost. It's probably the easiest way to multi box with SWTOR, create one VM instance with SWTOR and the bot on it, and then just clone that VM image to scale up.

VM's never worked for me I only ever got a black screen with no graphics and couldn't get it to work, tried a few different ways including VMware and Hyper-V. Would have loved for that to work so any tips would be appreciated.

It doesn't work like that Aevitas. If you run 2 BWs on same machine even via IsBoxer or VMWare virtualization, one of them will sooner or later get HLL Dictionary error and idle out. At least thats the case with grinding profiles. Don't know why its like that. We tried with different HDDs SSDs CPUs OSes RAMs... Thats probably why credits are still selling for a good price because if you want more clients you need more PCs.

Those HLL dictionary errors and the bot idling as a result should've been fixed a while ago, is that still the case?

I wish I was that talented to actaully setup a virtualization and all that, but as I'm simply not, I wont even try that hard :)
But as folks say it cant be done and I've read this somewhere else when I first posted this thread. Its a shamre really, its really nice with WoW to run multi clients ;)

I really appriciate all the reply guys, really feeling the helpfull-spirit here! :)

I've been using VMWare Workstation on my main machine to bot two SWToRs + BWs for years. You'll need 16GB Ram (3GB and 4 processors per machine) and a powerful enough CPU (>= i7 2700k), and use Win 7 x86 on each. It also helps if each VM runs from its own hard drive so all the disk access doesn't conflict and slow them both down. You can probably run three at once if your CPU is beefy enough, but again, each with its own hard drive.

      Cheers,
      -D

Those Hard Drive are better if u use SSD :)

P.D.i was using them a while ago but now i get Black Screen, i dont know how to fix it i have tried all stuff still getting that BLACK SCREEN, also i told Aevitas a while ago that a ATTACH OPTION (like HB) is the solution for multiple Botting.

I would add an SSD, but...

The black screen must be either CPU (via VMWare) or GPU related. Try some deductive troubleshooting if you can get your hands on any substitute parts.

Euhm swtor is also not so ssd friendly. It writes more to the drive then any other game.
Also You aren't loading much zones, just one, so hdd is enough.

So thats why SWTOR still loads slow as HELL, and WOW is blitz fast on my SSD .... often wonderd why SSD made almost no improvement on SWTOR.

BTW Cryo ...you are on holiday, so get the hell off the forum! :p
