I just upgraded to 10 and I tried to start the bot and it logs in, but it just sits at the "select process" screen that is blank.

I know people here are saying they can get BW to work with Win10 without an issue, and all I can say is great for them.
Unless you do a lot of tweaking to get around a serious .NET runtime issue, graphics driver issues (in my case Nvidea), and tons of other stuff in the latest Windoze, you are SOL.
Downgrade to 8.1 or 7 even and you are golden.

You COULD try to install DirectX9 and see if that fixes it for you. But from personal experience Win10 is not compatible with BW. You will experience a lot of crashes, speeder crashes and others. Simply not worth it. Maybe I am wrong, but that has been my own experience with Win 10 and BW on a fairly new system.
Then again, your issue sounds different from my experience and without more information it is impossible to even try and help.

reinstall direct x and uninstall and reinstall all .net packages - this worked for me

Nice. If only it was that easy for the rest of us :)
So, you have no speeder crashes when you are running a questing profile with Win 10? That is for instance directly related to the .net issues and memory allocation.
Of course we can just put blame on the bot in general as well - that is the easy way. In that case...sure all works great with Win10.
      :p

I only use it for combat routines so no crashes besides the known stuff I had when running win8
