So I use simulationcraft a decent bit and over time I've noticed that I rarely, if ever, can output simDPS using combat routines. I understand not making sim playing by hand because of human error, but as the bot is technically perfect as far as timing and theoretically perfect as far as rotation goes, why can I not get up there with my bots?

I've mainly been using FuryUnleashed for my warrior, both fury and arms. I've also used TuanHa for a lot of other classes, but I very rarely can match or outdo my sims.

latency + sub-optimal combat routines or flaws in simcraft?

I'm not sure about simcraft flaws as I don't really understand the coding behind it, I guess that is a possibility. Combat routines could also be an issue but as I've tried so many, I'm inclined to say that's not it, unless I somehow tried all bad CRs. I guess latency could be an issue, I usually sit around 40MS because of the realm I play on but I don't know if that could be a huge factor.

40ms is only your response to the server and doesn't account for any of the inconsistencies that could be experienced for in flight requests. Client hiccups, queues for incoming requests on the server. Not to mention all of the possible network hiccups that a request could experience. Unless you were the only one operating locally on an optimal server you could never meet or exceed calculated perfect numbers, and it's silly to think you could.

I guess I didn't specify. I don't expect to get perfect sims, however, on my warrior, I sim myself around 64-66k, depending on trinkets and what not. In raid, I can usually only finish a fight around 58-60k. I was just trying to get it closer to that sim number, not necessarily at it. Also, I know a lot of people who outdps their sim so its not really unreasonable.
