the thing i dont appreciate is auto updates for win10. ffs, i dont need all those updates. sure, one world, one os, one version of that os across all comps, but enough already. every time windows updates i have to restart my logitech software or my keyboard and mouse are gimped. doesnt sound like much, but it was every couple days for the first month and now its at least once a week. for the first month, windows 10 would 'lose' my ethernet driver. its not a big deal but its annoying when i should be able to disable crappy, non essential updates.

as for not hooking to dx11 it has to do with your video card/drivers. there is code in there somewhere that breaks the dx11 hook and it only affects certain cards and driver versions. my ATI 5750 works just fine with the catalyst drivers and dx11 while my buddies nvidia card, which is newer won't work with dx11 and HB.

I would not say "everyone loves it". Maybe saying "most", but I am not one that has jumped on the "love" bandwagon.

People always say this, but its BS and besides u can just disable it with 2 clicks in ur configuration options, but keep wearing that tin foil hat bro.

I dont mind. Cartana is great but she has to actually know stuff about you to be useful. Thats fair enough.

Microsoft are also on our side now (http://www.theinquirer.net/inquirer...r-data-stored-in-ireland-to-the-us-government) and standing up for data rights. Your android phone in your pocket is no doubt telling google far more than you ever imagined yet people get their knickers in a twist over MS wanting to know how people use their OS to make it better... thats what is really crazy!

Been running 10 through beta and running it now. That spy crap is nonsense. It is more stable, faster and I get better performance from games and HB.
I run Logitech keyboard and mouse.. NO ISSUES. I run nvidia.. NO ISSUES.. Yeah I get updates, and when I reboot they get installed. NO ISSUES.
So while you tool around on your win 7 boxes and fiddle with this and that, and worry that someone is "spying" on you, I'll just sit here on my win 10 box and have a nice stable gaming rig I don't have to worry about. It just works very well.

I have been running with Win 10 as well on 3 different computers, no issues thus far except an occasional failure to load. That is easily fixed by clearing out the compiled assemblies that failed to load according to the logs. Not sure if this is a Win 10 issue with HB or an issue that is just with HB. Shrug

No issue at all. Have the tool on a USB drive along with other necessities to make sure everything goes smooth. I will be doing a clean install.

By the way to everyone with privacy issues; if you are doing something that you really, really shouldn't then it is best to burn Tails to a DVD or USB drive, run from a disposable computer on a network that is public without cameras, and go a few steps further to use bitcoin for transactions through tor or other means (probably a better idea).

A VPN works fine for normal privacy, torrents, etc. if they do not log history.

Incorrect, any data collection is privacy invasion. Least to say Microsoft (must else like google and others) serving ads 'personalized' to a users habits is exactly that, not to mention error reports, unique advertising id permanently bound to to Windows 10 - and more. It's a clear invasion of privacy. Okay, the setting under 'Diagnostic and usage data' ... clearly a user, even an admin, is locked into sending Microsoft reports, it is NOT anonymous as all data sent is sent under a unique ID associated to your Windows 10 installation, let alone users are unable to disable (turn off) this setting unless they know how to navigate the registry and know what to enter. Wait... but on Windows 10 Enterprise... 'administrators' can disable ALL diagnostic, data tracking, advertisement ID's, every single tidbit of these invasive privacy violations. You can name it whatever you like buddy, but you clearly have no idea what privacy invasion is. It's turds like you that allow corporations to steal our right to privacy, and you sit on your lazy uneducated buttstole.

The settings can be changed to address the privacy. If you do a simple Google search for Win 10 privacy and PC gamer you will find a utility that will address the privacy issues plus some.
