Fixing the loading crash issue.

So apparently BW freaks out when you load a new zone.
This is a big problem when using combat bot to level by hand. (you have to kill your session with buddyauth en restart your bot every time).
Firs I thought this was a bug I was facing but it turns out this is just the way BW is coded.

In an attempt to work around this issue I have dug into the API reference to see if a plugin can be made to combat this issue.
I came up with a few ideas that might do the trick.

1 - Detect the load screen popping up, stop the bot, and somehow restart it again afterwards.
2 - Detect when a player clicks a portal or uses a teleport spell and stop the bot, restart it afterwards.
3 - Run a separate program that detects when BW crashes and restart it.

I would like some feedback on these methods, and if they are even possible within the constraints of the bot. I only have experience with HB so I'm not sure what works and what doesn't.

Alternatively, this issue could just be fixed in the bot's core and we wouldn't need to fiddle with a hacky plugin.

It should work without a need to kill the session but yeah restarting the bot is necessary.

1 & 2 - I doubt the plugin can restart the core of a bot but I could be wrong
3 - That thing would be called a relogger and its such a shame we don't have it for BW like HB & DB do...

I feel you. It would be nice to have that without BW restarts but how often do you change zones even if you level i don't think its that often? Maybe in PvP but as stated PvP is not directly supported with BW purchase.
Probably Aevitas has plenty of other bugs that need to be fixed on his priority list. I don't wanna be harsh just realistic There's a lot of things that could be done with this bot that arent but I am glad its working at the current state and proud on the team that makes it and fixes stuff for us

 

Reloggers require some kind of api from the bot if I recall correctly. Any chance a BW dev could pitch in?

 

Can't do any questing until this is fixed, just simple profiles like Black Hole is not working, due to taxi/elevators, it crashes every time you move around.

Joe and AMA coded in a sort of reset for the bot.
Search old pure and Joes code.
Joes did it every certain amount of time and AMA did it, if I'm correct, after a shitload of errors.

 

the problem isn't the bot, it is that it crashes swtor too... which is what worries me the most.

The crashes are a huge hassle. Is there a way to restart Buddywing with Extensions so it will load the profile you want to use automatically? This is almost an awesome tool but there are enough frustrations with it to make it less exciting. The constant crashes and random lockups are a problem. I have it and the game crash at least once a day and zoning is instant downtime. I'd really like to see healing fixed to. I wish I could help but it isn't in my skill set.
