      as i read this:

      here : https://www.thebuddyforum.com/honorbuddy-forum/ban-section-ban-reports/225675-ban-info.html

and its in the wrong section cause no one can respond,i post it here and im interested in knowing what logs they can possibly scan. Is it the HB logs, or something else.

      And for those :

Dont do it here. Its irrelevant.

      ty.

As far as I'm aware Blizzard can scan anything which has injected itself into the WoW.exe process. Nothing else. So if they were to find where Honorbuddy is hiding they could very well detect that you were botting, but considering HB made no changes after the wave (that we are aware of) it's not likely Blizzard has ever detected the Honorbuddy injection.

IE Blizzard is most likely NOT scanning all of your log files and processes, if they were I can guarantee you that someone would have caught that the instant they tried.

Of course all of this comes down to the fact that anyone here is running off of Speculation, the only way we will know what Blizzard is up to is if they come out and tell us...which will never happen.

NO, it is illegal. No offense, but you're not very wise thinking Blizzard holds a legal right to scan outside of it's own directory and the process' for their applications. No business has that level of authority on personally owned computers, even if you signed a TOS or License agreement specifically stating so - if that were the case the company would need explicit and direct consent with every attempt they made to access and obtain a copy of that information and then upload (download) it through your connection.

In this case, Blizzard holds no legal right. They are legally entitled to scan the Blizzard Entertainment directory and any other directories associated to Blizzard Entertainment, this even includes the application processes. Anything outside of those directories is illegal. The law applies to ALL business applications and processes for any operating system. There are certain exceptions, however, but Blizzard or any game out there is not included within the law.

I'm sure you've heard of Punkbuster, they ride very close to the edge of illegally scanning systems. They use to scan your entire hard disks for modified apps (chracks) and other hacks for games, but if IIRC the FCC fined them.

It's not only illegal, but illegal due to the fact it's a clear violation of Privacy Invasion.

I really dont know, why everyone here on forum see Blizzard as big shady malware company... They can do very little to catch you, they cant do any sort of PC magic out of their process

omg Trixiap just because it's in their TOS doesn't make it ok for them to break the law. It is illegal to scan a personal PC. That's like you making a game and saying in the TOS you can access their personal bank and take money. Just because it's in writing doesn't make it legal.

Please read it again and little bit slowly this time. Nowhere in my post I mention scanning of PC. Two paragraphs that I posted are only saying that Blizz can scan memory occupied by WoW, nothing else.

Another thing that I said "if it is not in ToS they cant do it" doesnt say "they can do anything if it is in ToS" but "They can do ONLY what it is in ToS".

      So calm down keyboard warrior.
