Hi all, I've been snooping around these forums for a long time now but I can't seem to figure out several complicated stuff about this game.
I've tried doing unspoiled farming and just depending on it to make gil but it gets me roughly 200k gil a day or lesser. I'm looking for a way to increase this value because at this rate, I'm not really getting any profit off this game and I don't want to give up hope on this.

Can someone explain to me what blue and red scrips are? I've read the wiki and I know its like some sort of currency for several HW stuff but whats the benefit of farming these?

Are ephemeral nodes worth farming? I've also read the wiki and its something that has to do with farming for crystals/shards/clusters right? Will that be more profitable than unspoiled farming?

I've been looking at Baked Pipira because it sells for maybe 3-4k per piece, I have been leveling my fishing to 57+ but I haven't got CUL to a high level yet, also I am confused as hell how do I get my CUL to a high enough level because leveling a profession here isn't as easy as it is in WoW where you just buy mats, craft, ding max level. I've been doing leves and I'm still at level 20 due to overpriced HQ mats. And from profiles such as Craftbuddy and stuff, the plugins don't really try to put as much quality into it using the generic profile because I have no other crafting jobs and don't have any skills that the other profiles have. What other crafting classes do I need so that I can bot to make Baked Pipira? All the crafting cross skills are very intimidating and I'm a little lost here. According to entrax's pipira profile, I need

Comfort Zone - Alchimist lvl 50
Waste Not II - LeatherWorker lvl 50
Tricks of the Trade - Alchimist lvl 15
      Innovation - Goldsmith lvl 50
      Byregot's Blessing - Carpenter lvl 50
Careful Synthesis II - Weaver lvl 50

How do I even level all these? Slowly wait for leves allowance and buy stuff to turn in? I've googled time and time again on how to level crafting professions and some say level them together, some say one at a time. Are there any profiles to do that at all? I've seen the 30 35 40 dur thing and I'm really confused on how to use it. I've seen people saying they maxed all their DoH using that profile but thats because they already have all the crossed skills right? How does a person like me start out on these things?

Also what are favors? Entrax just made a new profile for it so I am a little curious as to what it does.

Thanks for answering my noobish questions, I never really played this game much as I botted my main class to max level and I'm unsure of any end-game stuff, I mean I see some HQ ilvl 170 DoH equipments going for 7m gil and I'm like.. okay how do I get started on this at all?!

That's how I make Gil recently:
Use Cloudmoon's ephemeral nodes profile to farm for like 4 hours, I just keep the dusk and sell all others. Then I craft tons of seafood stew using all Nq mats because they are so cheap. I get like 70% Hq rate, and Hq seafood stew is about 100k Es in my server. Don't sell dusk and use them to craft seafood stew you will get like 10x profit.

My suggestion for you is level every DoH classes to 50 first. There are many 1-50profiles in forum but if you prefer to use Leve, It's better that you level every DoHs together so you can get Hq mats support by low cost..

Get every crafting class to 15, then culinary to 37.. after that you can sorta just do whatever.. but getting culinary and carpenter to 50 isn't a bad priority.
Doing things in that order will help you craft your own HQ leve turnins due to the cross class abilities. That's pretty much the way it goes unless you have someone in your fc willing to spend about an hour per class from around 15-50 with you.. don't do the long travel leves, do the ones that are right next to each other, there is one for every bracket of levels.. The slight increase in xp for doing the long travel ones is not worth the time it takes.

If you do have to grind, grind stuff stackables if possible.. e.g. ingots, leather.. etc.. use a profile or lisbeth or something to do that, or that craftbuddy, I haven't tried it, so I can't speak for it's functionality.
And leveling your gatherers alongside your crafting classes obviously helps cut down cost if you so chose =)

I havent really seen any 1-50 DoH profiles anywhere, maybe I have to go through more than 10 pages. My MIN/BTN/FSH is all 60 now, just looking for a place to begin. I still don't really get the whole blue scrips and red scrips thing, I know that red scrips are like weekly reset stuff but what do I need to do for it? Are all the things that can be turned in for red scrips in the profiles that state Blue/Red scrips?

EDIT: Okay I managed to get Lisbeth to work so I'm slowly crafting up some stuff and getting my DoH up now. Do I need any other stuff for ephemeral profile? I have BTN/MIN at 60 so can I just start it?

EDIT2: Just started the ephemeral nodes farm, will see how much money I make out of it. Leveled some of my crafting classes to 15 now but I'm just trying out the ephemeral farm first.

One way to make gils is you use red scrips trade for Red Gather Token, then use Red Gather Token trade for favor, lastly use favor profile to farm lots of favor mats. You can sell those mats directly or you use them with one Red Craft Token trade for more expensive mats then sell it.

Right, so I got started by getting full HQ equips and I'm finally starting to gather red and blue scrips, is it worth it to get the red scrips gathering gear? Or dive straight into favors and start selling and earning money. What do I farm while waiting for the weekly red scrips reset after I'm out of favors?

Favours are better than Red Scrip gear. I have the BTN/MIN main-hand myself, but favours are great gil-makers if you know a buyer! 2 red scrip tokens netted me 2.7m yesterday.

When you're out of favours, I recommend mining either unspoiled, ephemeral, or grinding a normal node, say Birch Lumber/Hardsilver Ore and MBing those whenever you get a chance to. Unspoiled Nodes, especially Adamantite and Darksteel Ore sell like hotcakes, and Aethersand from Ephemerals, especially HQ Leafborne/Landborne go for a lot. You can also grind normal nodes for things like Aurum Regis ore and MB them.

My perception is currently 633 atm, if I'm not wrong I need 646 for legendary nodes yea? Just preparing for when I have enough blue scrips to buy folklore. Are legendary nodes good to farm? Or are they pretty average in comparison to ephemerals?

675 to collect legendaries for red scrip.. And the legendary HQ mats are probably alright to sell.

Not really, Op is right when he said 646 to be able to gather the node (otherwise, 0% collect/hq rate). 675 is if you want to do 470 rotation on 1 star node, you'll also need 601 Gathering to gather the node, but I recommende 645 at least to discover a slot with 1 hit :)

Anyway, about making gils with gather bot I recommend :
      - Favor item if you don't care about 180i stuff
      - HW Legendary nodes
      - HW Unspoiled nodes, adamantite, porcini, morel, chives, fig..
      - Old Unspoiled nodes, Silkworm Cocoon, Darksteel Ore, Gold Ore, Thavnairian Mistletoe, Volcanic Rock Salt..

Yes really. If you want to run around correcting people all day then maybe you should read what they write.

You're probably right with the added info, usually people will tell you 650 perception to reveal in 1 hit because it's nice and round, whether it's 646 or 650, I don't actually remember.
Melding for 650 perception only to find out later you actually want to be able to use the legendary nodes for red scrip, could potentially be a pain in the ass.

Sorry if I was annoying, what i meant to say is that with 646 you can gather legendary node for red scrips but you'll have to do an higher rotation with only 1 item at the end, but if you reach 675 you can use GetTwo++ rotation wich is the best one atm like you said :)

Fair enough, one item is hardly worth it though, even less if you have to cordial.

Alright so far some gil has been coming in, I'm quite hesitant to buying favors off the bat and I'm kinda leveling some of my DoH for now, I feel like a huge chunk of extra profit isn't coming my way because I have nothing to farm after I cap my red scrips for the week. As for now I'm still at 633 perception, looking to overmeld 3 more perception so I can start farming legendary nodes, also need some more blue scrips for the folklore.

Ideally I am looking to do baked pipira because they sell for roughly 5k per unit, and then spend all my favors for farming. What I'm not sure now is, which makes more gil, doing baked pipira+favors every week or doing ephemerals+favors every week. Ephemerals do need a little bit more supervision due to the fact that I need to manually aetherial reduce them all every 3 hours or so.

Leveling fishing while we speak, hopefully newbies like me can read this and get more knowledge. I mean, I was clueless enough that I was doing "unspoiled nodes" without even having Collector's glove until I noticed Rebornbuddy spamming " Failed to cast Collector's glove" so for those who don't know because you just loaded a 1-60 leveling profile, DO THE QUEST TO GET COLLECTOR'S GLOVE AT LEVEL 50.

If baked pipira pira is 5k then it's barely worth making.. You could run an ephemeral node farm in the meantime and sell whatever is rare on your server.. like HQ Leafborne sand, or something.

I am almost certain 650 perception is enough for get one++ rotation (550) in my gather tag, which is compatible with both ephemeral and unspoiled/legendary now.

Yeah, 1 item isn't really worth it though, which you'd probably end up with most of the time. I was also a little rash, had a bad day

Some updates on my farming situation. Currently running unspoiled for more blue scrips to buy all the folklore. Managed to overmeld my perception to 651, should be good to go once I get folklores. Havent tried out favors yet but i'll get to it once I complete folklore.

I was comparing the price of seaborne aethersand and the rest of the aethersands. Using mooncloud's ephemerals profile, I get maybe 1-5 of each aethersand and they sell for a very irregular amount, I've been getting lots of 300+ collactability stuff, not sure if its normal or I'm doing wrong, just that doing aetherial reduction every 2 hours only nets me quite that bit of gil. I was wondering if ephemeral fishing would make more if the seaborne aethersands are more common, not to mention ice and water clusters sell for 2x of fire/earth clusters.

Also somehow using entrax's unspoiled profile, the bot hasn't been turning in scrips for me, so I still have to supervise it myself for now. I have officially given up on CUL or any crafting thing cause my server's economy is saturated since its a huge legacy server. Baked pipiras for 5k NQ and 9k HQ and seafood stew for 15k NQ and 20k HQ, seafood stew looks like a little bit of profit to me though.

Not sure why seaborne aethersand would be the highest priced one on your server? HQ Leafborne aethersand ? .. But yeah.. fishing would net you more seaborne.
And you will get a lot of 300+ collectable items running ephemerals because to get a 550 rotation, you need a proc to go off.

HQ Leafborne is like 80k or so but its just so rare, I get like 4 for one whole day of botting and its demoralizing to see that. I guess its still better than fishing hmm
