Bumping this old thread as I'm trying to figure out how to separate my farming team from my own accounts to ensure that my main does not get banned the day my botting team gets struck.

Currently I have my main doing some casual botting on my Windows Server 2012 R2 installation, on my own network (external IP). Nothing that specious, with HBRelog making sure its not going for more than three hours before taking a break for a few hours and also to make sure its's never running during 03:00-08:00 as barley anyone other than bots play during those hours. So I feel my main is pretty safe.

But I'm also planning to get a another 5-man botting team going for farming, and I want these to be on a separate Hardware-ID / MAC-address and another external-IP to make sure Blizzard does not connect my main account with my botting team in case of a ban.

What I have done thus far is to test with five Starter Editions (it's free after all, so perfect to test things out) and what I've done is to enable Hyper-V on my Windows Server with RemoteFX activated so the virtual machine is capable to accelerate graphics performance from the GeForce GTX 770 on my server. I have also made a wireless bridge on one of the Ethernet ports which is connected to the wireless of the second apartment (I live in a two apartment house) and I was lucky enough to be allowed to bridge on Ethernet port onto their wireless which features decent connection, speed and latency and providing me with another external-IP for the botting team.

I have installed Windows 8.1 into Hyper-V, given it access to all eight thread on the computer (its a Intel Xeon E3-1270v2, equals a Intel i7-3770 Quad-Core), dynamic memory, connected through the Ethernet port featuring the other external-IP and made sure RemoteFX towards the GTX 770 is activated. Sadly the performance is abysmal. Running 2-3x bots is working out half-decent with around 15 FPS with all in-game settings as low as possible and Honorbuddy with Hardlock@15ticks. But upon firing the last two bots things just goes down the drain. I'm seeing 3-14 FPS and the dips are causing all kinds of issues whereas the bot think it's stuck and whatnot and HBRelog will keep restarting at random times as it believes the bot or the WoW instance is not responding.

I have tried to override the settings within config.wtf file, trying to enforce lower resolutions like 400x300 and 200x150 but it seems like the game ignores my settings as it does not recognize the graphics card within the virtual machine so the game simply resolves into some kind of backup solution giving me all the lowest settings by default (which is a good thing) but this makes it impossible for me to enforce even lower settings as it completely ignore the graphical settings within the config.wtf-file.

Which brings me to this post. Those of you who run bots within virtual machines, how are you configuring your virtual machines, World of Warcraft settings and Honorbuddy settings? How many bots are you able to run within a single virtual machine?
