You said that you can't afford developers to maintain exilebuddy so the question is, why not share the source and let the community update and develop for the bot? As said before you don't gona return to exilebuddy project and there's plenty of people who want to contribute and use the bot.
its part of their name. and if they release the source their name will be out there. lets say they do and someone updates it, but doesnt pay attention and gets many users banned. That will fall on the "buddy" reputation name. Not only hurting exilebuddy, but also their biggest draw, honorbuddy. It'll hurt them too much and its safer to keep the source under wraps.
if ppl keep the plugins private, what do you thing?? they will update and keep it, less bot = more profit.
